When I first found out about ASD I didn't do this so much and having read a fair amount I now try not to make extra work for other people, however as I am 16 I'm not sure whether this occurred simply because I am now developmentally able to do that. I do not do it because I 'feel' their emotions, bu...

I was under the impression that, from an educational point of view, at least, ASD is considered to be low incidence.

I had a bulls-eye bruise like that of the lymes one. I didn't look it up until a letter was sent home from school warning us to check because another boy on the trip had been bitten. But, I didn't get checked for it and my autistic mannerisms were present long before that.

It has gone better. :(

My mother insisted that I take the day off school to reduce my stress and she's doubtful over whether I should go in tomorrow (though I full intend to). I spent most of today crying and trying to remember to breathe properly.

How has your day been?

My brother wasn't dry at night until he was 11, though he didn't have bowl problems with it. He outgrew it, it would seem. That said, I'd still get him checked for medical issues and possibly either use pull-ups or put a bed wetting cover on the bed, if you haven't already done so.

I know there's another thread in the General Autism Discussion section which is similar, however I would like to ask here because I would like to know how long some people's (or their children's) referral to CAMHS took. I was asked whether I wanted a referral to CAMHS and went along with it, but the...

I tried yoga once - it's my father's special interest - but I found being in a noisy room with bright lights and not being able to move much incredibly uncomfortable. I suspect it is something I would have to keep up to benefit from, but I'm not sure I'd like to put myself at risk of meltdowns. Per...

When I listen to songs, it's as though I have to and I can get quite agitated if I don't get to finish listening. I'm not sure if this is dislike of being stopped from stimming/having my relaxation method stopped or a compulsion. Either way, the top comments on YouTube would indicate that NTs are qu...

I'm pleased that I know what a CPU is, but I dare say I won't be much help.
