Do you know any AS people or even classically autistic in the broadcasting industry either on or off camera. Do you think anyone with AS or classic ASD who works in broadcasting is limited to only small markets? Just wondering what it's like for someone like this in the industry. I think it would b...

Be really careful of practice tests, the GRE changes questions so they are only estimates of what you are going to be doing on the day. I recommend doing the test more than once and getting started on revision as soon as possible. I studied for three months and managed to get reasonably good results...

Dependence is better than destitution. I agree that welfare dependence is a bad thing, but its a much better alternative to homelessness. A few bums is the price you pay for knowing that the social safety net will catch you if you need it to.

Well I would say just keep reading... Read Craig, Plantinga... read CS Lewis and the atheists too. Some of my best conversations have been with atheists.

And Angela Merkel, after having a phone conversation with Putin, had reported to Obama that the Russian president was losing touch with reality. I doubt he is. He is winning at the moment so I doubt he cares what Merkel thinks. I spent a summer going through Saddam's cabinet files, he lost touch wi...

I just heard on the news Putin wants to work it out and resolve it peacefully. He's aiming for that Nobel Prize.. That man is not just reckless, he's clearly delusional. Nope, he is rational, he just works from a very different strategic calculus. He is a cold blooded killer but he knows the risks ...

On the flip side, our nation consistently attracts the brightest and most talented people. Hmm... not sure about this. The US seemed to be far more welcoming of me and my desire to achieve than my home country. Australia has a real issue with Tall Poppy Syndrome where the smart are cut down. In Ame...

First, Guttmacher is the research arm of Planned Parenthood, which, while it is pro-access, is not pro-abortion. That is a canned talking point. Second, even if they were pro-abortion, that would not mean that they deliberately distort their results. Third, even if they did deliberately distort the...

Vexcalibur took it the same way, 91. I'm not twisting it; I accept that's not what you meant, but you misspoke. What, was Thomas81 booked? Vex did not even quote the full passage, just the one sentence, removed from context. I did not misspeak, I wrote earnestly and in good faith and condemned the ...

really? You're saying that the Guttmacher study was preemptively selective based on the outcomes it wanted? That's accusing them of fraud, not accusing them of a bad study. They're the research arm of a lobby group, of course they only research what they want to discover. Bias is written into its c...

91, maybe you didn't mean it that way, but you put your foot in your mouth with this one. Your statement was '14th isn't all that bad because the low number is caused by poor students being miseducated, the rich kids are doing really well.' You softened it with the statement about the spread, but t...
