| I think some people like to confine people within a diagnosis as if being autistic means you cannot succeed period. Sounds like the crab in a bucket routine. I love the self defeating question "Would we want them to?" Comes across as condescending. There are plenty of musicians and actors/actresses ... |

| Most people could take a look at Adam's face and how much it changed along with his pupils and know, there was something more to the story than alleged aspergers. He looked like he was on drugs and kept in the basement for a long time. |

| I highly doubt those who think highly of themselves would adopt that attitude, why should autistics? A change in attitude is needed in a lot of people. Not just for autistics and not just for the benefit of social skills. Those that talk the most have social abilities but not necessarily skilled. |

| i went through the same thing in school, i really hated my teachers and went out of my way to avoid the teachers directions and would put in my headphones in class and just draw sonic. my advice, he simply doesnt want to be directed and told what to do, its very stressful, especially when your fall... |

| I found out just recently that mental preperation for every little thing that happens including fun events actually leads to disaster. So as an experiment I decided to not plan and it worked out better. There were no expectations and no freezing up because someone else decided to interject their own... |
