I agree. I think this thread should be moved to the Politics, Philosophy, and Religion forum.

The queen isn't foreign, she is a Canadian citizen. She just also happens to be a citizen of the UK, Australia, New Zealand etc. She may not legally be a non-citizen, but she is "foreign" in that she spends most of her time in the UK; she doesn't really seem "Canadian." In the United States, we had...

Conscientiousness is a dimension of personality in the Five Factor model, including planfulness, tidiness, achievement striving/work ethic, thoroughness, etc. Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder takes conscientiousness to a dysfunctional extreme.

My understanding is that, as Queen of Canada , Elizabeth II's prerogatives, as delegated to the governor-general, constitutionally derive completely separately from her role as queen over her other realms (the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) and that this has been true for some decades...

Conservative painter Jon McNaughton, as seen on The Colbert Report, clearly shows empathy for "the other side." I think, as McNaughton's examples show, extreme ideologues and partisans from the liberal or Democratic side and the conservative or Republican side often have trouble understanding each o...

Does anyone else feel that they "bloomed" too late? Compared to others my age and of comparable intelligence, I picked up the social skills I have now much, much later. I am probably at least ten years behind in most social developmental milestones. Through most of college, I was a loner and definit...

i much prefer dull agreeables to sharp disagreeables any day of the week. in my civil service career the latter type were far more common than the former. they shoulda called it the UNcivil service, AFAIC. Between dull agreeableness and sarcastic/rude disagreeableness, what about simple balance? Ca...

If you're lucky enough to have a professional career, you may have encountered a more subtle, sophisticated kind of annoyance than you had to put up with when unemployed, in part-time or unskilled work, or pursuing your education. It is the existential threat organization men and women pose to one's...

By neither the plebs nor the hoi polloi nor the rabble nor the unwashed masses am I perceived as arrogant or supercilious; rather, all have proclaimed the common touch indubitably possessed by NeantHumain. Although I may not partake of American-style football or NASCAR racing myself, I have many fri...

Good luck in your endeavor, but you realize phpBB offers a mobile interface, it may just be available in a newer release of phpBB than Alex is using? I think you misunderstand the goal. This is an open-source project. The goal isn't necessarily to produce commercial-quality forum software. The goal...

Moving to forum software from this century would accomplish the goal while also improving the experience for non-mobile users. However as of 2 years ago or so I understand the owner's position on this was that aspies can't handle change, so he won't ever change the forum software. I wonder how many...

Maybe we the end users can just do it ourselves: Attention, Programmers: Want to Make Wrong Planet Mobile? It may be a lot of effort just for Wrong Planet, but if we make it generalizable, it could possibly also apply to other phpBB forums and eventually maybe non-phpBB forums too.

The Wrong Planet forums display like crap on my iPhone 4S, whether the device is in portrait or landscape orientation, requiring a lot of pinching and zooming to navigate, so I did my due diligence, and here's what I've found already posted on the forums about a mobile-friendly version of this site:...
