Why is there not just a simple "No" option? I'm not asexual but I'm not aggressively sexual. "Hell to the no" implies a strong opinion, at least to me. I lack the desire, motivation and drive to seek a relationship but I definitely am attracted to males, physically. This is simi... |

I can also tell you that age is a great leveller. Many NTs in their senior years are astonished to suddenly find themselves automatically dismissed and disrespected, regarded by many younger people as automatically stupid, unable to learn, of little account or value. Ageism doesn't discriminate bet... |

I'm innately neat - things get put back where they belong when I'm finished with them - but cleaning is another matter so dust tends to build up. |

Mixed feelings. I have it. It's me. I've never been without it. It has created difficulties in life, but hey, that's life. How would it be possible to separate my identity from autism? It is such a foundational element of my consciousness, my awareness, that the idea of saying "Without autism ... |

I don't hate being praised, but it does make me self-conscious and uncomfortable. Usually I will put up with it but would rather people not praise me, although sometimes I do feel ignored when no one does. In general, though, I hate having attention drawn to myself in any way, positive or negative.... |

I call myself "hypothetically straight". I don't feel like the term "asexual" is appropriate because it implies that I have no preference which is not the case even though I have no inclination to act on it. |

I've been living alone for over three years now. I'm not lonely. I enjoy being able to make my plans and not having to worry about whether anyone will object to how I do things. |

It's harder to get up in the morning when it's still dark but other than that it doesn't really affect me. |

I'm happy to blame Asperger's when I feel compelled to be honest even if it's not in my own best interest but sometimes things can be phrased in softer manner and still be true. |
