As an aspie I'd say my two major issues are anxiety and fatigue. I get tired out really quickly and need to have rests durign the day, on work days I battle through but it's tough. I'd encourage people to look into this thread over at wrongdiagnosis.com regarding different forms of vitamin B12 and s... |

Hmm, interesting. I did try vitamin supplements some years ago but nothing happened. Shame really because I'd almost convinced myself that everything would be fixed if I took them. You migth be interested in this post/thread I posted yesterday... http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt148886.html I... |

Well, that's not even an option in a world of 6.9B people being fed by intensive agriculture! The fertalizer that feeds those masses of people is petroleum based. I wonder what will happen when the oil runs out soylent green perhaps. mmmm soylent green. Tastes like chicken. Hey what's in tha... |

Not really, but then in my experience many of them are a lot less happy than we're making out in this discussion. Seriously.

Explaining something does not necessarily explain away the question of why there is something rather than nothing. Indeed. But those are two entirely different discussions. That something exists and works in a certain way is just how it is. Why it came to existence is a different question. locster. |

I think god has control over what traits will be good when genetics combine The rules governing how genes combine are well documented and understood. It's a process called crossover, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromosomal_crossover There's no magic and it sometimes does go wrong - hence embr... |

God works in mysterious ways, my son. Ours is not to question why. I like to think that gods give people challenges to overcome. While it's true that adversity (and necessity) is the mother of invention, that's more a case of an evolutionary mechanism for creating robust communities - e.g. in solvi... |

They can help with anxiety and mood for some people. They're not a 100% solution but it's certainly worth raising/discussing with a doctor.

Well, no kidding...I get how basic genetics work. However, why wouldn't such a god create a reward system based on our deeds vs a system based purely on random probability? It's a fair question. It comes down to the notion of what is a good deed or a bad deed - the universe doesn't care about such ... |

the people at your school who were trying to force you to go on Ritalin were idiots Indeed. The argument then really comes down to - is science putting new tools into the hands of idiots that allows them to cause more damage [than they otherwise would]. I feel that that is a *much* broader debate a... |

How are you able to know yours may be physiological? It was very clear to me o... |

100% of aspies have normal-or-above-normal-intelligence, while only 98% of the general population have normal-or-above-normal-intelligence. In practice, I doubt that this have any significant effect in average IQ of Aspies vs. non-Aspies. Not quite normal or above normal. Just not in the range of i... |
