Hello,
i also wonder if autism is really something manifest, maybe rather an unusual development of the brain such that some other parts are not understood as fast as by others.
One question to you: What and how did you improve your skills so that you are now pretty normal?

| yeah, but according to the criteria there exists a ratio of 6:1 in male to female.... and many think its not gender specific. |

| Hi there, i know a woman who is very highly sensitive, clumpsy, but her body language is really good, and she also expects others to do eye contact. So my question therefore is: do there also exist female, (unnoticed) aspies with "normal" body language, and good eye contact? Or is this very unlikely... |

i feel more than most woman, many conversations let me feel that the persons are cold inside.
How many aspies consider themselve highly senitive?
How to differentiate between a just highly sensitive person and an autistic one?

I know that female aspies are rather rare, a ratio of 1:6 should there be. Some say, that female aspies aren't properly detected, however here on wrongplanet are some. So what is so different in female aspies? how are they?
