Bananas are a good source of potassium. In addition to that make sure you drink enough water, as mild dehydration can cause this as well; I used to get them a lot when I would exercise before bed, but drinking some extra water solved the problem. I figured out a way to stop it from developing once i... |

Eventually if you ever get really serious Pro Tools and Logic Studio Pro are the industry standards. Personally I like Logic a little better. |

Is that during the paralysis, or in a fully awake and functioning state? Would you mind expanding on that? Sure: I can enter it from a fully functioning state; I lie down and do a series of progressive relaxation and meditation techniques (a pastiche of things I learned from yoga/tai chi and some e... |

This used to happen to me every day in my childhood too; it was terrifying at first but once I understood the process it became not nearly as frightening. It's strange though, as I figured out later that I can actually trigger hypnogogia at will through a certain kind of meditation technique. |

I think I'd have to go with the original, but I liked the Burton sequel a lot too. At first I didn't think the Alice in the new film was "right" for the part, but by the end of the movie I thought she was perfect...which I suppose is kind of in line with the plot if you think about it. |

Yes, I love the Dark Crystal...though the soul juice siphoning pupil shrinking ranks among the creepiest things I have ever seen; I still use it as a basis of comparison against any horrifying vision I come across |

Thanks; that is helpful ;) I also found a few videos on youTube, but nothing really amazing. I'm more interested in the creation of the puppets themselves over performance with them (though that is interesting to me too); I would love to build something as complex as the ones in Labyrinth some day, ... |

I actually haven't done any form of puppetry before, but I am developing an interest in it currently. I've done other kinds of performing: acting, music etc. |

I want to try my hand at crafting some, but I haven't been able to find a good local place to learn/get supplies. Know any good spots in New York? |

I've played a good smattering of each series (of the ones that were released here in the US anyway); they're pretty good but I wouldn't say either series ranks in my personal top tier of favorites. |

Empathy is the capacity to recognize and understand another person's feelings, and in some cases sympathetically experience them yourself: it sounds to me like you are indeed empathizing to some degree in this case. I've heard that people on the spectrum lack empathy, but I think that might be a bit... |
