I suspect this is fairly normal. I can't comment from personal experience though--I seem to have skipped right to the stage of wanting to find a partner.

Basically what everyone's said already. It would be interesting to see some statistics about the portion of gay men who are masculine vs. effeminate (and in between), although I doubt that such statistics exist. That said, I suspect that most gay men are probably fairly masculine. I wouldn't go so f...

I have mixed feelings about this. Granted, being gay should be viewed as something as trivial as your blood-type. But let's face it--we don't yet live in a society where that is the case. There is still a lot of prejudice, gay teens are still far more likely to commit suicide than their straight pee...

Occasionally, if I've been especially busy, I'll feel a bit guilty that I wasted time masturbating (rather than, say, studying). But that's all.

Forum: LGBT Discussion   Topic: Question for gay mans, did you tried to have sex with girl?

^ I'm the same. I've never had any interest in sex with a girl. In fact, I think that female genitalia are kind of icky. As such I've never had any desire to try it. The thought of sex with a man appealed to me very much, on the other hand, so I knew I was gay even before I had tried it. I heard th...

Well, yes, it's true that we know more or less how to act. However, without sex education, we don't necessarily realize what we are doing. So sex ed is important so that people realize that sex results in pregnancy. It also teaches people about the risks of disease and about how to use contraceptive...

I think an environment that teaches you to feel ashamed of your sexuality, which cannot be changed, only does damage to your mental health. Such an environment is what needs to be changed. I'm glad that I don't live in such a bigoted, judgmental and homophobic environment. I'm not aware of any gove...

There do exist "therapies" which are supposed to change your sexual orientation. However, they are all scams. At best they are just a waste of money. At worst they are abusive and can have lasting mental impacts. I don't know of any government that has banned them outright, but California has banned...

Physically, there are all sorts that I find attractive. I do find athletic bodies with well-defined muscles very attractive, but often the brain inhabiting those bodies to be less so. I often seem to like guys with darker skin and hair and who have a bit of 5 o'clock shadow. Although there guys I fi...

It's because breast are essentially fat and so it's easy just to put a pouch of saline in the fat. Penises consist of vascular tissue which must be able to fill with blood. It would be difficult to put any sort of implant in there without damaging the vascular tissue. And it wouldn't be able to fill...

Get someone who is fully willing to commit to you. This. I'm inclined to agree. I'm extremely uncomfortable with the whole concept of open relationships. Something about them just feels wrong to me. I can't think of any good argument against them, assuming that everyone involved is aware of the sit...

I recently tried to ask out a postdoc from my university physics department (where I'm an undergrad) who is seven years older than me. It felt like he was pretty out of my league, seeing as he was establishing a career (very successfully) and seemed like a much better-rounded person than I am. In th...

I heard that kid require dad and mom as role model, both sexes. Well, that's a common talking point amongst conservatives. But as others have said, the child can get both male and female role-models via their extended family. And frankly, LGBT people are a lot less likely to conform to gender stere...

Well, first of all, it does irritate me somewhat when people support same-sex partnerships as long as they aren't called "marriage." It smacks of "separate but equal," like how black people were treated pre-Civil Rights. As for the involvement of the church--I think that should be left up to the ind...

Well, it might just mean that there are longer wait-times. Which is what you get in every other industrialized country if the surgery isn't needed to save your life. Of course, ultimately what is needed (not only in the US, but also in Canada and I suspect elsewhere) is more doctors so that the wait...
