Which country are you in, Wallop? And do you identify as male or female? If you're in the UK , you can contact the Samaritans , they have volunteers who staff their helplines, which are open 24/7, or I think it's also possible to go into a branch to talk to someone if you live close by: http://www.s...

My theory about looking younger relates to autistic problems processing non-verbal communication, such as body language and facial expressions. To my mind, it stands to reason that a person who has problems processing such information, for example difficulties reading other people's facial expressio...

May I ask, can you describe in more detail your experiences with Ritalin? I do have executive dysfunction issues, and also I've been a bit OCD-ish in the past. It seems curious, but here in the UK, Ritalin seems to be something that's more commonly prescribed for children with ADHD and others on the...

Yes, Molly, I think you're right, I understand that LSD should be used with caution. Some friends have said they've taken it while camping, in a field in the countryside, because taking it in the city at a party or gig would probably be too overwhelming or disturbing, so I'm aware it's not to be mes...

I'm a non-smoker, so I don't really think marijuana's the answer. I've tried it a few times at parties, if someone's passing a spliff round. Usually, I say 'No' but if I'm quite drunk I might say 'Yes' but then I end up coughing and feeling nauseous. I've only tried it once while sober, about four y...

Have you ever taken MDMA/Molly or LSD or Ritalin? I'm female, 45-years-old, British living in the UK. I was formally DXd aged 37, but I'd known since my mid-20s after reading something in a newspaper or seeing something on TV about Aspergers, which kind of made sense of a lot of difficulties during ...

Not really! Some Aspies on here are married and very happy! I have read their posts. Not everyone struggles with the same things in the same way.
Sorry, I was being flippant. Hence the

Thanks everyone. :D I will watch him more closely to see if he is lining things up or just playing with them the way he should. He is 3 years old and still doesn't talk and still wears diapers. He is definitely a concern since autism runs in the family. His older sister has no signs of autism and w...

It seems to me like cold climates favor different cognitive abilities for survival and that Asperger's traits may simply be a result of this adaptation. Aspies are more focused (able to work constantly to survive in a brutal climate), less emotional and more rational (better able to handle the stre...

...Case in point: Mom and her sweetie are on an out of state holiday right now. They will be home in a few days, and she tells me today on the phone "Is the house clean? I don't want to come back to a mess." She might as well have said "And NO parties!" Sigh....I understand that she's just trying t...

Not generally, no. Although if I watch a film in another language, then I prefer it to be subtitled rather than dubbed. It really annoys me when films are dubbed and the words don't match the movements of the mouth, I find it very distracting and hard to understand, so I'd rather stick with subtitles.

They sound like very cliquey people. Some people are just kind of tribal like that. *shrugs* As for the mean comments, it's not necessarily anything about you, but maybe more about their immaturity and the way they deal with peer pressure. If one person in a group with a bullying type mentality make...

I haven't had people feeling the need to protect me - I left home at age 13, I was taken into care by the local authority and lived in children's homes, because my father was violent and physically abusive. Over recent years, though, I've come to realise that maybe I do need protecting, and I might ...
