I already take an antidepressant and a low dose antipsychotic (which is supposed to act as a mood stabiliser). They didn't change them while I was in hospital. |

| I'm sorry you're not having the results you wished for, dragons. I have read that ECT often takes between 9 and 12 treatments before benefits are seen, and that if you're having unilateral and it doesn't help, that bilateral might work better. I'm still waiting for my meeting with the ect consultant... |

| Can you get voluntarily "committed" to a hospital? Only if you've got enough money to go private (which I don't). Psych hospital beds in the NHS are few and must, rightly, go to the most sick. This is due to the government choosing not to fund the NHS properly. The NHS itself is brilliant... |
