I had no idea "maybe later" meant "never." You learn a lot online. I hate texting because I see no need for it and it's annoying and I don't like using the keypad. Would hearing those words be any different if you heard them in real life than through text? Would you not take it literal then? Oh yea...

As a child, I was outgoing with everyone. I was very "in your face," and I was overly affectionate and would just talk to everyone or hug people I liked all the time without any social boundaries. Ever since late childhood, I've been outgoing only with people I really am close to or really like. Wh...

I was emailing a famous pen-pal of mine, and when she didn't want me to do something she used the phrase, "Maybe later". Being my literal self, I took this as very much meaning, "Not now, but later for sure!" I then responded asking when, and she said eventually, "What I meant was, I didn't want you...

I've actually called my doctor, and he said to wait it out. I am on meds, and have been fine for some time. This is just a random down-swing, I guess.

I've had a really hard few days. Little things always set me off, and the internet being down for a day made things especially difficult the other day. Then the power kept going on and off making things stressful. I've been panicked, depressed, and probably on a downswing. Along the same lines, I se...

Yes, I do this too! Mostly with words that I like the sound of :) Something else I do is, if I'm writing a post on a forum or Facebook or something and I find what I'm writing to be funny, I say it out loud to myself and laugh. Does anyone else do this? And I ALWAYS go back and reread my posts, 2 o...

Holy Crap!! ! I thought that was just me. Mine is a little different, I do impressions of celebrities. I repeat Monty Python and the Holy Grail a lot of the time, or The Simpsons. I once thought the word Fork sounded so cool that I repeated it until it had lost all meaning. I love this site! Hehe! ...

I am often mistaken for a 15-18 year old, though I am 21. Once I was out at night, and the police were called and they asked my friend (in his thirties) if he had a 13 year old daughter! My friend's neighbors actually thought I was a 13 year old girl!

I reported your avatar- it's in clear violation of WP's Threshold of Cuteness. :D Please don't tell me you actually reported it. I don't want to get in trouble :( But thanks lol -Mallory Of course not! Serves me right for being non-literal with others when I, myself have such trouble understanding ...

Aspie :P

Granted, I don't fully trust internet quizzes...They aren't always very credible at all!

Your Aspie score: 162 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 42 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

My son is 9 and he does this all the time. I thought by now he'd grow out of it, since I believed it was his way of learning and practicing language. I've often wondered if it's some kind of a stim. (I'm not AS, but I do talk to myself incessently, and I find it very stress relieving) I also wonder...

I have noticed that I have always loved reciting lines from TV shows. I find it easy to memorize things, and quite often don't even have to try! When alone, I am often not at all quiet like a "normal" person. I pace around repeating things over and over again that I think are funny, and reciting lin...

I am 21 (believe it or not), but I don't look it at all. I'm diagnosed as Aspergers. Here's a picture of me with my cat that I took today to put on facebook: http://i52.tinypic.com/345h4ys.jpg Here's a picture taken of me, Cyndi Lauper, and my boyfriend. I'm not sure if my boyfriend is Aspergers or ...

Fever can accompany anxiety attacks because it's the body's way of burning out infection. If the immune system is compromised, like it is under severe stress, the body may react with a fever. Anyone feel free to correct me if I've got inaccurate information. At times I have experienced a low grade ...

Interesting that you say this! I often get a fever when I am stressed out. Usually 100-101. Then again, I run fevers periodically, and no one knows why. They can happen when I'm not stressed too...
