This social situation involves a dog trainer and another dog trainer which treated dogs badly during training. I spoke out and did more harm than good. I will not speak out about another trainer like this again! :? I have started doing my own dog training which I have done several years ago and now ...

I saw mention of Laughter Yoga and one person said that they'd be afraid to do this in front of people. Well, the truth is everyone does it altogether so you aren't the only one looking "however you think you look". The whole group looks funny which is why it's so great. I've been involved with Laug...

I found some inactive members who live in Tucson but nobody recently active here. I'd like to create a meetup for AS people in Tucson. So, if you are living in Tucson and would like to attend such a meetup let me know. Also if you know of any other meetup or support group for AS in Tucson please let...

I know being more specific with what happened would help some of you understand what went on with my situation. I'm just not ready to be more specific. Maybe after more time here, I'll change my mind and give more details.

I don't think that I have this problem. I try to keep things I say short, quick and to the point. I just have to be careful how I say it and not sound angry or say it with wording that sounds hurtful. This is more my issue. And also if I should take a stand for that or not. I don't always know when ...

Yes I am new. Thank you for welcoming me!

I'm not sure I know what you mean in your first paragraph. I was volunteering to help someone and so giving my help is what it's about but I have tendency to sometimes help in the wrong way without knowing until it's too late.

I prefer "Lady" over Woman. Hey, Woman! Blah! :eew: And even worse "Hey, Female!" And Girl is only for those younger than 20. I hate to hear "Hey, Girl!" :shameonyou: I once called a female a Lady and I was corrected because they didn't behave lady like so now I don't really use the word...

I too have many acquaintances and maybe 2 or 3 friends but not really close friends. I also attend various of groups and meet many people who I may or may not see again. It took some time for me to feel comfortable to even go to those groups. I gradually got better with social skills the more I atte...

In high school I would also eat lunch alone and I would eat outside away from the noise of everyone else. I pretty much stayed outside and I would try to be more social but this didn't go so well. When I was in grade school I would go to the library all the time. I simply wanted to avoid talking to ...

We all need to have water and go to the bathroom. It's a human thing. Of course, it's always better to be polite but don't think it to death or you'll find yourself so afraid to even say anything. I have been to many places and homes and I just ask and don't worry too much how it sounded. I mean rea...

I do tend to walk fast but not always. I like to observe nature and so I tend to go slow to take it all in. There are probably a number of reasons why people walk fast. If you are an impatient person you may walk fast. Just the fast paced of life today compared to way back when could be the cause of...

I am a 40 yr old female adult who had been diagnosed with a minor Asperger's Syndrome a few years ago. I always seem to meet people and get along very well until a situation occurs where I feel I need to step in and help and then it turns out to be the wrong thing to do and I get put on the spot for...
