I'm 41 and I don't even feel like an adult. I'm like I was when I was a child, just with more responsibilities. My responsibilities aren't too bad, so I don't sense anything to wish to "escape" from.

I find these replies to be interesting. I very rarely feel "lonely". I'm perfectly at peace being by myself. Most of the time I don't even try to initiate contact with others.

I voted yes but I don't really know. My mother passed away last year, and my father was bed-ridden for about six months before dying May 2. So I'm on my own for the first time ever. it's a desolate feeling, isn't it? http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff2/n1covav1e/17395myq40cmfs4.gif Yes, it is.

I never had to drive much until a few months ago. I drive OK but try to avoid major highways unless it's absolutely necessary.

I've been called for jury duty twice. The first time I wasn't selected for the jury, but the second time -believe it or not - the judge named me the foreman!

Back when I was in my late 20s, it seemed like everyone thought I looked about 8-10 years younger than I actually was. That was a long time ago and I don't know if I still look that young.

UPDATE:

Things have settled down a bit here. I spoke with a nurse's aide today and she cleared up my responsibilities a bit. I have a better idea what I have to do. Tomorrow night I have to drive to his pharmacist to get medical supplies, which has me a little worried but shouldn't be a problem.

I don't think the help this person needs is because they are autistic. Outer_Darkness >> Forgive me if my suggestion was perceived as insulting or demeaning you. You appear to be an intelligent, capable person. I only assumed that autism has brought some difficulties to your life (as it has mine). ...
