Some children are also sensitive to the proprioception they feel when stepping on their heels....that fits into sensory avoiding? Long term toe walking might cause shortening of the ligaments...If this is starting to happen, you need to sort it out with a physio, to mobilize the ligaments and joints...

Silas....he was assessed by a peadiatric neurologist and psychiatrist who diagnosed Asperger/PDD NOS. The clinical psychologist and social worker was thinking more in the direction of bipolar, but the psychiatrist dont agree! My son will sometimes tell me that things feel " 2 D....as if he is watching a video".....
He also mention things shrinking...call micropsia I think....
The pdoc said its disosiation or something....I know stress and tiredness increases this in my son.

I would also suggest you let him be assessed by a sensory integration occupational therapist to plot down his sensory profile....Very tactile defensive kids will not easily explore their environment....if they have the intelectual ibility? Also kids with sensory integration problems might have motor...
