100%. Both in real life and in movies. Like you, I will avoid movies where the characters are being framed because of how much it angers me and triggers me. |

I’ve never liked trains or anything like that. But I am obsessed with dates. And ages. I always have to learn how old someone is and the year they are born. |

I wouldn’t say I have selective mutism, but I have gone mute many times in my life. Generally this is in big social situations where I get anxious and lost and shut down completely. When this happens I can’t speak, and it’s like I’m just watching as a fly on the wall. I can almost never come to when... |

I haven’t always been single, but I definitely have large gaps of time in between relationships. Usually spanning quite a few years. This is a huge inner conflict for me. I long for love and a real relationship but at the same time I just want to be alone. |

I can tell when I’m being hit on usually. But I’m terrible at flirting. |

I binged watched Atypical and it was hilarious! I loved it! But... It wasn't the most accurate depiction of ASD. What do you expect though? At least the topic is getting more exposure these days. Plus, it was a good show nonetheless. However, I think the main issue was that Sam simply suffered TOO M... |

I HAVE to shower right after a haircut. But I thought this was just a normal thing for most? Although, I know a few people that get haircuts on their lunch breaks and then go back to work after... Which I can't even fathom the idea. |

I go through phases, but generally my need for social interaction is minimal. As has already been said, I like to be around people, and observe and listen to people interacting, without actually having to be engaged socially. |

It's too late now for me, but even so, I would want to know I fully connected with this person before getting married... Although, I'd only get married to please the right person... if she ever comes along. |

I can always talk to my cat easily, but usually if I've gone mute I still won't. I'll just pet her and headbutt her instead.
Honestly, I never thought going mute in social situations would be one of the most common, worst feelings and biggest problems I'd have to deal with... |

I am not good with connecting with people on deeper levels, past the learned and rehearsed social interactions. So, I only have a couple friends, and really only 1 person I can call an actual friend who would come at my time of need. But I am even bored with him, I just try my best to take part in h... |

I was exactly the same way in school. I was either painfully shy or I was the class clown and loud and obnoxious. There was no middle ground for me. But when I look back at myself now, I realize that my obnoxiousness in class, was in a sense, me lashing out and reaching for acceptance from my peers ... |

As was already mentioned, the best thing to do is distract yourself with another obsession or something of interest during the times of intense obsession. I know, it's hard... But you end up just pacing back and forth, constantly thinking about her and looking at your phone every 10 seconds if you d... |
