We agreed we would be together. To me, that's a settled matter. I don't understand how people can change their mind about something so important.

Me neither... :( I guess sometimes they just feel like changing partners.

I think love may be true, but it is rarely eternal. Many people seem to feel quite often that they found their true love. However, mostly they turn they back at them as fast as they fell in love. People in general lack constancy.

I don't really understand what is meant by paragraph. I cannot fathom what suddenly went wrong. I did not do anything different tha before.

Not bothering to look for a partner anymore would be quite sad, wouldn't it? Who likes to be alone... ? :(

I do not understand this. People fall in love with me quite frequently. They really seem to be in love and go on planning a future together and everything and then - all of a sudden - they disappear without explanation. It is always the same. There have never been any arguments or other women, they ...

Thank you all for sharing your experiences.

I fear I won't be required on making a decision on what to do next, because the friend with whom I had this dispute seems to have disappeared. He does not answer the phone, my emails or anything. I think he's off

Hello everyone! I very rarely disclose that I have AS, so only very few people know. However, lately I did tell somebody who is important to me and now I am very sad that this person believes that either AS is made up to be more than it is or that I do not have it at all. :( Somehow that bothers me,...

I cannot really say whether I am hungry or not, but I get thirsty easily and tend to drink too much. At the same time I can go without without food for several days.

I also think rationality is a plus. I know too much of girls who give up everything for love and end up being hurt or losing everything they gave up. They needed to rationalize first if it was reasonable to give up everything in the first place.. I have seen that happen so many times and I always w...

Me. It was worse when I was younger, though. The connection doesn't surprise me. I did some reading on that topic when I was first diagnosed and it seemed like many autistic people also suffered from epilepsy. They also had a good hypothesis then why this might be, but I cannot remember what it was.

Same problem here. I don't play any social games and I try to be nice and kind to anyone. I even try to do some small talk when I feel up to it, but mostly I am too shy to approach anyone. However, I have never done anything to conciously harm anyone else. Still, other women seem to see a constant t...

Thanks for your comments. As it is I am not at all keen on becoming a superior. I love having to deal with projects rather than people. However, it would not have been advisable to refuse to participate. Although I wouldn't be too sad not to be chosen, I am surprised by the rationality criticism. We...

Hey everyone! Recently, I had to go through some psychological testing for a leadership screening. (My employer has no idea that I am a diagnosed Aspie) The result was that I am too rational, not acknowledging my emotions. I'd never deny that I am a rational person, but until then, I never thought o...

Barefoot shoes help people run faster supposedly.

That is why I bought them in the first place. :) If you run in these, it is far easier to achieve a good (and fast) forefoot strike. Actually, going heel first is impossible, because it would hurt too much.

I try to remain barefooted for the most part...anyone here tried the vibram 'barefoot' shoes? I prefer flat slip on shoes or slip on sandals like a birkenstock when I must be shod. Only in the depths of the snowy winter do I go ahead and boot up. Oh, I have some 'heels' for special occasions like b...

what do you mean by "lack theory of mind"? my aspergers manifests far more in the other ways (repetitive behavior, intense interests, sensitivity to sensory overloads, etc) than it does in lack of understanding NT feelings, so I've never really worried much about that. Well, I guess I have read it ...
