Let me share you an example, it is Christianity. Christianity makes strong assertions, and assertions that can be proven false. When an agnostic claims "we do not know all about the universe, so maybe there is a god and we can't know that for sure". It does not apply to the Christian god. Let me li...

I hate being touched by people too, yet I love having my feet rubbed as it makes me so calm. Also love stroking my animals, and the feeling of silk. I used to, and still sometimes do, rub my hands back and forth on carpet until i get that weird feeling in them and it feels all smooth. I hate wearin...

I have a sensitivity to touch, I hate it when people touch me, and every little amount of pain hurts a lot. I am also highly ticklish, and am very picky about what clothing I wear because many textiles are too hard, make me too sweaty, and are too uncomfortable. And I constantly have to fix my under...

I have Schizoid Personality Disorder, so, in my mind, I have a completely different way of thinking than people labeled "NT," as SPD is literally a different way of thinking, which is why people are debating that it is not a "disorder" at all. But if I have SPD, am I automatically labeled as NT beca...

If you were a schizoid, you probably couldn't be bothered making an account and posting about it. They don't care. That's rather stereotypical of you. No, it's a defining characteristic of Schizoid Personality Disorder. Most people who believe they're schizoid really aren't, they just like the idea...

I just wanted to add again: You can have more than one diagnosis! It's even very very common, I also do. Of course you can have more than one diagnosis, I was simply talking about autism and schizophrenia. You can definitely have bipolar and autism, or Multiple personality disorder and aspergers.

I read this SO OFTEN about ASD too! 8O Yeah, I have emotions, I feel anger, and happiness, I even laugh at a funny joke, but I don't show...

I heard that Schizoid Personality Disorder is caused by an uncaring, neglectful parent. But I also think that this "cause" is a bunch of bull because that's the exact same "cause" they used to explain autistic people's "lack of empathy" and "rigid when touched" symptoms not too long ago. What do you...

The results of my psychological testing is in, and I have been diagnosed with "Schizoid Personality Disorder." But was also told that I have "traits of Aspergers" as well. I really don't know what to say or think about this. As I honestly believed I had pure Aspergers. Now I am told that I have its ...

Or Multiple Complex Developmental disorder? Do you think it is a valid diagnosis? An invalid diagnosis due to lack of inclusion in the DSM or ICD? and is it adequate, or too vague a diagnosis? And, in general, what are your personal opinions about it? Citations are highly welcome, and strongly recom...

I have heard differently. I have heard that it is the same mutation, but in different directions. Like right hand and left hand amino acids. So having them together would not work. That is why the DSM-4 states that: "Criteria are not met for another specific Pervasive Developmental Disorder or Schi...

I believe autism and schizophrenia are genetic opposites and one cannot have both at the same time. It would be like flipping a coin once and landing on both heads AND tails. Nope, there is even a slight spectrum connecting autism and schizophrenia with each other and autism, bipolar and schizophre...

I believe autism and schizophrenia are genetic opposites and one cannot have both at the same time. It would be like flipping a coin once and landing on both heads AND tails. Aspergers can turn into paranoia as you grow older. as it gets harder to cope with because of reality, social, etc. So you ge...

I wanted to use that very image in a PSA (Public Service Announcement) I was thinking about doing for a school assignment. But my own glass wall got in the way of being able to express my idea and form a team to make it happen. I saw something very similar in a pharmaceutical trial commercial for A...

I have had fantasies like that a lot. But it's hard in a world where you HAVE to be social in some way to get a majority of the jobs, even blogging, in order to make to advertise your product, or blog, or book (if you self-publish), you have to be good at networking, and building an audience, and kn...
