I really get where you are coming from, and now that I'm older it is easier to see things from my mom's point of view. Just protect him and don't treat him any different--aside from the obvious with instructions and such. From what I have read and experienced, kids with A.S. are easy to take advanta...

I have some pretty severe problems with that. Thank God for online school because it can take me three days to type a simple assignment just because of the daydreaming. In the middle of reading on Arminianism vs Calvinism I started thinking about Star Trek the other day haha. The trick is discipline...

It would help if we knew what you were interested in. I failed everything in actual classrooms. Being a Christian, I started attending Liberty University Online and it has been great. The work is challenging enough, sometimes very tough, but all classes adhere to basically the same format within the...

I am majoring in Religion and Elementary Education at Liberty University. I especially love theology classes and science classes. But, having different formats for papers in different fields really breaks me down.

Hello, I had a lot of problems with this growing up, and I still do today at 28 years old. A lot of times when my mom would say she was "just reminding" me she didn't realize how much I picked up on her irritation and and everything would spiral out of control. I'll help as best that I can. 1. Dishe...

I know exactly where you are coming from. In my experience it's like League_Girl said; it's when it becomes an impairment. I have a culmination of so many little things that I almost cannot function at home, and much less out in the open. I don't really have time to list everything that goes on, but...

Nothing is wrong with you. That may come off as cliche and an expected response, but it's true. You're 14, life's a big ball of crap that you don't understand right now, and some people are just plain old cruel. As far as people at school, most of the kids in high school are in the best four years o...

I agree with the Professor. However, most people do not literally mean doing many things at the exact same time. Therefore, he's really just fussing over technicalities in the definition. As far as multitasking as we know it, and its relation to Aspies. I worked at Waffle House for about three years...

I have had some very weird sleep experiences. I have seizures all throughout the day and night. Usually when I have violent dreams, I'm having seizures in my sleep. But, the realism of the manifestations can be extremely scary. I haven't had a "diagnosis" of the seizures because I could not afford t...

There is nothing wrong with you. I don't know how I will be from one day to the next, and I cannot always tell when something will set me off.

Aquarius-Pisces; Febuary 16-22 (Cusp of Sensitivity)

Right on target for me.

Hate to say some of you are very rude for no reason in this topic. Hope this isn't the first thing new people see if that's how you choose to act.

I just found the site today, but it was such great timing that I am almost willing to say it was predestined. Well, I am 27 and was only diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome about 4-5 years ago. Everyone here knows the things we go through that others simply do not understand. Typically, when I try to...
