I also hear ya, Bluemax. My last job, it was a great position but required training and of course, a computer workstation. I take notes and watch but I learn by doing. It took over two weeks to get my computer so I was hobbled from the start. It was document proofreading, see if they were notarized ...

Do they let you listen to music at work? I have the same work environment and I'd go nuts if it weren't for my mp3 player. Same here. if it were not for talkshows or my music, I'd go bonkers. I also like to listen to old radio shows like CBS Radio Mystery Theater, X Minus One or Dimension X. Most s...

I'd like to see a trip to Mars. In theory, I'd say it has been possible since the late 1960's but we need the will to do it. The original plan was to send a manned mission to Mars by the early 1980's. I think we can all agree on that we need a faster way to get there and back, IIRC, I think the fast...

I hardly use because I have a 1.6 GHz Athlon Wal*Mart Special E-Machine. It is at the bottom end of being able to run World of Tanks so if I add VC in the game, I would compromise my ability to play. ;)

I'm generally against the death penalty, with possible exception of high treason, even then, it should be very hard to get. Beyond stopping an imminent threat or wartime, I really don't think, I lean libertarian on many issues, that the State should have the ability to take a life. I'm not against p...

I've had lots of those dreams too.

I'm interested myself. I'd like to see the last three books too. I remember back in 1977, my school bus driver (I turned 11 that year) said that Lucas was making the middle three books first, then the first three and then the last three. I'm glad he, or the franchise, is sticking to the program alth...

I like this. :D A laissez faire advocate being open to a minimum income. And then more people would free to start businesses, pursue art or philosophy, or pursue whatever other projects strikes them as worthwhile. People would no longer be so tied to the necessity of a drudge ware job. I welcome th...

... Is there anybody on the West Coast of USA who would like to start a net for autistics and their family members? As soon as I get my license back, I'd be very interested. I studied with the No-Nonsense guides available from Bob Romanchik KB6NU. Since you likely know most of the material, it shou...

I have to admit it, I am watching He-Man And The Masters Of The Universe (the original) again. I loved them when I was 12 or so, and I love them now, they always had such great stories.

I like watching them too. I watch a lot of cartoons.

Im from nearby and today the snow was pretty lame to be fair. If you have a BMW they are notoriously bad in snow. Also your drive may be an issue - I know mine is. Main roads being ok means nothing if you cant get on it. Yeah, you got to remember you got to get to the main roads. I'm glad to have a...

Birmingham UK. Apparently the main roads were clear, but I didn't know this. The person I spoke to kept talking about how people in other jobs might be sacked for not coming in. I don't know if this means I'm going to be sacked. We have the same problem here too, some roads may be clear while mine ...

Hmmm, I admit there is a side of me nostalgic for the Cold War, at least you know which side you were on, ours, theirs or neutral. I'm also an "alternate history junkie" too. I often wondered how the world would be from 1991 to today had the USSR not fallen and/or the 1991 Vodka Putsch succeeded. Th...
