I am not 100% sure that is is the right place to put this. Baseball was a sport that I enjoyed playing with the neighborhood boys. Next year I wanted to join my schools baseball team I was told by many people that I couldn't because I was a girl. But they said that I could play softball. I don't be...

The NBA emphasizes a lot of flash over substance. Nate Robinson was the more popular player but I think in his short in the league, Brandon Roy accomplished more than Nate the rest of his career. No knock on Nate but I always thought too much of the spot light was on Nate and not enough on Roy durin...

escaping from headlock is my fave, just bc when I used to get bullied they would simply hold me in the head lock. One day I simply did a front roll and the momentum took me on top of the guy. Then I used the Gracie frame to un lock my head. Another one is from judo is osoto gari. It useful with and ...

Thanks.

BTW, my heart goes out to Brandon Roy. He is from Seattle and went to University of WA. He is loved here too of course. But this guy really loved basketball and because of health it's taken away from him. His health is more important for sure but gotta feel some pain for the guy.

^^ interesting quote. Who said it? I am glad the NBA back even though Seattle doesn't have a team. I am resorting to cheering for other teams. I am liking Stephen Curry. It's really hard to stick with a favorite team or any team for that matter because the business nature of NBA ball is dynamic and ...

Without reading the replies but reading the first post, my immediate knee jerk reaction to her disapproval was sibling rivalry.

Take it with a grain of salt.

That's nothing to fret over.

I have to commend you though for making an effort in doing so thoughtful and meaningful. 8)

Because people get a sense that I am too nice to lie, they believe what I say. My lies are mostly white lies. The type of lie that would be insignificant in the long run. I am a better liar than given credit for. Sometimes I do a bad job lying but people are somewhat disturbed by it because I know t...

loud people who insist on pushing their way into my time or space, uninvited. agreed with this statement. I personally enjoy day dreaming and people always think it's funny to break my trance of happy thoughts. They would clap loudly to make rattle me back to reality. Let's face it for me, reality ...

School was all around bad for me. It was never good. But school was the worst for me in HS. Pure hell. Constant anxiety and the fear of getting humiliated or physically assaulted. Then June of senior year. Graduated from school without shooting it up a la Columbine. It was like a purple heart for me...

I haven't read the whole thread but... Personally I like to concentrate on the "ups" of being a loner: Less poor and more money in bank account. No petty drama over trivial misunderstandings. Less sensory overload. I can go wherever without arguing on where to go. I can do whatever without arguing o...

It may not be the worst thing in the world, but not necessarily the best either. Aspies are ill equipped to survive and thrive in a society dominated and controlled by NT/extroverted populace. Essentially, aspies are like the undrafted, free agents who may occasionally be bench warmers. And NTs are ...
