My son is pretty good at lying, I think.
Nothing really big but little stuff, like I will ask him if he washed his hands after going to the toilet and he says 'Yep', really casually but I know he hasn't... |

I remember hearing about a first school shooting in March 1998 and it was the one in Arkansas and my mom was shocked and so was I and I wondered why did two kids do it. Then not too long later, I see on the news a 15 year old killed his parents and I was also shocked and wondered why did he do that... |

Our son's special interests rarely last more than 6 months. He seems to go in cycles and then, like you. he loses all interest. I wasn't sure whether it was to do with his young age as he has been like this since the beginning of the special interests. |

My son has a receptive language delay - he struggles to understand what is being said to him, could this be related? I believe it is more common in people on the spectrum |

If you wouldn't do it if other people are watching, then I classify it as abuse. |

Ok everyone. I've been thinking about this and I've come to the realization that there really is no point to this question. lol It's just personal curiosity..... The person on the right is me. The other two people (middle and left) are my older brothers. That surprises me simply because of your lon... |

Our son has a very limited diet - it's improving ever so slightly with time but overall, it's not great. He eats very little at school but eats like a maniac at home, so I give him a really big breakfast - 3 bowls of cereal and a piece of toast and then he eats more toast when he gets home. not idea... |

Some people just come across as needing 'mothering' - my husband has a friend (who is older than me) and yet I have such a soft spot for him, like I just wanna take care of him (not sexually, let's get that straight). It's the nurturer in us, I guess, particularly the more seemingly vulnerable. |

Our son is exactly the same - he tells us that he hates being 'lonely'. He used to take until around 11pm to fall asleep which is crazy for a 6 year old in Prep (Grade 0). His paediatrician recommended Melatonin which is great, he usually falls asleep within half an hour of taking it. It doesn't 'ke... |

I think it's tougher on an emotional level - DS told me yesterday that he wishes he was 'a regular person, like everyone else' - we haven't told him about his diagnosis yet as I am terrified that it will trigger worse anxiety but obviously he is 'switched on' enough to know his pit falls. Yesterday'... |
