If you want to get an idea of what the popular aspergers test says about me now, here ya go. Note how the only two Aspie traits I kept a large amount of were the talent and perception, and yeah a little bit of the social aspect too, but it is useful in the right situations. http://www.rdos.net/eng/...

I'm an Aspie myself, so none of my fellow Aspies should take offense by my producing this list...apart from these, don't let anyone tell you you're not suited for any other job. Note that these five job types involve all the traits that are the contrary of Asperger traits. I believe that Aspies are...

^^^ you obviously are very high-functioning. just to be able to effect such workarounds is evidence of that. but not all aspies have sufficient of "the right stuff" to be able to do what you did. just because you managed doesn't mean everyone of us can similarly manage. some of us are children of a...

I understand what you meant. It was the same with me. It took me 3 years to blend in mostly unnoticed. However if you count people thinking "whats up with this girls attitude" thoughts, well that still happens here and there. I really don't like it. Its weird that you mentioned how you worked so ha...

The widely accepted definition of Asperger's Syndrome is "An individual with high intelligence and poor social skills. " This is why it baffles me why more aspie's don't use their high intelligence to acquire better social skills. That is basically what I did. I made understanding how people think ...

I'm still at 100% aspie, although I never think about it really. I just use my aspie traits to acquire the NTs social traints and to understand how they think and respond. I'm still overwhelmingly analytical, and if need be I can always turn "off" the acquired NT traits and social skills, in order t...

When dealing with NTs (or anyone for that matter) ask them about their life. In my case, I prefer that I am the one doing most of the listening, and they do the talking (so I get information and a little more experience with what NTs think like and they get to have someone to tell stuff to.) So just...

I'm an introvert, but I very very good at interacting with other NTs, they don't suspect a thing. So if you met me, (and for some reason you I actually told you I was an aspie) you might suspect I'm extroverted depending on the situtation. But that took years and years of practice, trial and error, ...

Did Elizabeth Taylor give her properly purchased "Nazi Looted" work of Art back to the heirs of the family??? I don't think she should have given it back. Even if she did, they should have at the very least paid her what her father paid for it, inflation adjusted, because it is not her problem, and...

I see the spin that all of the Occupy Wall Street participants are lazy, unwashed hippies is working. I don't believe most people here are assuming that OWS participants are lazy unwashed hippies. Rather many of us believe that their protest is not the most effective way of accomplishing their very...

The ability to use my photographic memory and aspie traits to acquire information very quickly and thourghly, which eventually turns weaknesses (like social skills) into advantages.

Going to be honest here, I find the McDonalds applications pretty funny. But aside from that, I'll say this: I can understand WHY they are upset, but to me, that is not the most effective way of getting change. Why don't they use the "system" to their advantage, make a lot of money, and THEN try to ...
