I went through it almost 1 year ago. My hearing was held in a hotel conference room, the only way it resembled a traditional court room was that the judge was wearing the black robe, otherwise it just looked like a meeting with people sitting around tables with their laptops open. I had a non-attorn...

No matter what you do there will always be someone who doesn't like it. It's your bedroom and what's important is that you like it.

I obviously can't give you all the background information on the relationship between my mom and me so I'll just say it's strained. She's done things like show interest before but then returns back to her usual self. I've been hurt by her too many times. I'm afraid to let my guard down again. Then a...

Thursday night I talked to my mother on the phone telling her about the neuropsych testing I did, which she asked me to tell her about. I think she is gradually beginning to understand how my brain works. I told her it's hard for me to talk unless I have something to talk about. Today I got a letter...

I had one, but the friendship ended last October. I finally stood up to her and told her (nicely) that even though she didn't say what she was saying to be hurtful, it was. She never responded and a week or so after she unfriended me on Facebook. We have not communicated since. There were other thin...

The cleaners and the automatic air "fresheners" are too smelly. Yes, people associate them with clean but the chemical smell also means they are toxic. I've thought about taking small cleaning jobs in offices or the mall but can't/won't because of the cleaning products. At home I use natural cleaner...

I think a lot of NTs are not really aware of a lot of the advances in technology were made possible by Aspies or other people on the spectrum. Although, I'm starting to see small signs of a shift in highlighting the strengths of people with perceived disabilities.

Your "hypochondria" is why the MMPI-2 has to be interpreted in context of a persons situation. You have things that are easily verified so the elevated hypochondria index wouldn't be of concern when interpreting the test.

Google search MMPI-2 for a good explanation of what it is.

You'd have to consult with a psychologist for your complex situation. You may end up having more testing.

Get lots of off-peak hours driving time in before you drive during peak hours. Use cruise control when appropriate. I use it when I'm on the freeway or any other long road with few or no stops. It frees me up from having to look at the speedometer then I can pay more attention to the drivers around ...
