I can recognize people by their faces without trouble, but I often have a hard time picturing someone's face when they're not around. It's not always impossible, but it takes some concentration and sometimes I just can't get it. Also, when reading or sometimes dreaming, when I imagine people/charac...

How come so many Portlanders all of a sudden? :P I just moved away from there. I heard Portland was a nice big city to live in, like seattle but much more navigable. correct me if i'm wrong here. It is a nice city if you have to live in a city; I prefer not to live in a city if I can so I finally e...

I think the fact that you consider these your defining characteristics indicates a mindset that is not presenting yourself in the best light. Think about how you would present yourself to someone, say, if you made a personal ad. Are these the most important things about you? Are they the center of y...

I have prosopagnosia as well, I can't bring people's faces to mind accurately and I also have trouble recognizing them. This came to light to me initially due to the difficulty in recognizing people... I don't use faces to do this as most people do, but rely on other clues (especially voice, plus ot...

It might be helpful to tell her, even if you think she might know, that the person may feel bad if she does not make some comment. It might be that she doesn't feel congratulatory about it or thinks something negative, in which case she has chosen not to say anything instead of making a negative rem...

What you are describing sounds a lot like different migraine aura effects I get. I used to get common migraines with the headache and no aura, but now, I mostly just get the visual auras with no headache. If you research migraine visual auras you will probably find some similar descriptions, but the...

I've lost almost all the friends I've ever made. I have a huge trouble making friends, more people dislike me more after they start to know me a bit if they liked me at all at first, and others I will think we are friends and then they just drop it. Either things get unpleasant or they simply stop t...

Yes, definitely causes pooling. The way I understand it (in my favorite way by making analogies), the blood is like a finite amount in the body. Imagine your body is like a sack of rice that is not all the way full. When it is sitting down it more or less looks full. when you pick the bag up by the ...

I got diagnosed with nuerocardiogenic syncope last year (after lots of other tests). You might want to see if your dr can order a tilt-test to be conclusive, this is usually the deciding factor. I'm treating mainly with lots of salt. It is a lot easier to eat salt tablets than a lot of salty food (I...

I ran across this article today about "how to spot liars" and was struck by how many of these "signs" are things that people with Asperger's may often do. Now, I've had drummed into me from a veerrrrry early age by my parents "look into someone's eyes when they are talking, because liars/untrustwort...

I understand what you mean with these expressions, as I use many of them myself (though, not all muslims I know do use them all the time, even though they believe in them). I don't use them with english-speaking non-muslims though for the most part because then I would have to explain what they mean...

I do all of this exactly :D to a tee. My friends/family know about it the most, because around people I don't know as well, a) I'm shy, and b) I KNOW I do this and ramble and people don't like it and I have "loghorrea" (which one of my teachers once defined as "diarrhea of the mouth" and I think thi...

I suggest aquafor for lips, because it doesn't have any taste or smell like lanolin (lanolin is great for dry/cracked skin, but I can't bring myself to have it on my lips all the time). The aquafor works very well though and was recommended by my dermatologist. I don't pick at my lips with my hands ...

I'm actually curious to know (from NT readers) if the NT part of the video is accurate and they don't do the things in the latter part. They don't look around at things as they walk? I wouldn't have guessed there was that much difference in this area really :P
