However, I think that there is a thing in this text that does not makes much sense: In all topics, the "Threshold values for suspected ASD" is lower than the "average score for male neurotypicals " (and for females, btw) - in another words, most neurotipicals (or most neurotipicals who take the tes... |

This thread is quite interesting. My thoughts are a stream of words with virtually no pictures. If I do get a picture at best it will be a vague dark outline against a lighter background or a very quick flash of a vague image. I don't 'hear' any tone or volume in the words. They just exist in my hea... |

He could be asexual or grey-A. Have a browse around Aven. It may help you understand what is happening. Maybe ask him have to a look at Aven as well. |

First of all, let me say you are having a fairly normal response to the news. In my case I worked it out for myself about a year and a half ago instead of being diagnosed but it still came as a hell of a shock. 1) The "oh my god! this is the Rosetta Stone to my past!" response... which is making me ... |

Many years ago on one of my computer science exams I was supposed to write a program in 68K assembler. Not having done much revision (like none at all) I was pretty unfamiliar with the 68K. In the end I wrote the program in 6809, which I knew well. I then used the supplied 68K crib sheet to translat... |

But that's just my opinion.
Yes, I have also thought that could be the reason. |

I'm on a bit of a Prodigy mission at the moment. It's past midnight here so I must resist the temptation to crank up the volume even higher.

I believe there is some evidence of a higher incidence of LGBTQ/ asexuality among AS people than NTs. |

What do you mean software to control them? Post processors? or writing front end interfaces for conversational controls? Or writing software to integrate/retrofit controls to old machines? I'm hoping to learn more about machine repair, but I have little opportunity to dig into machines right now. I... |

I guess I live an AS life. I live alone and have absolutely no interest in the whole marriage/children thing. I just want to be left alone to pursue my interests. Luckily I have been able to make a well paying career out of them so I do have a job. I have no interest in changing or trying to force m... |

I build them, fix them and write software to control them for a living. In my garage I have a Bridgeport Series 1 CNC mill, a Denford Orac lathe and a Colchester Triumph 2000 lathe. All have been retrofitted with new electronics as their original controls were beyond economical repair. I'll shortly ... |

My interests haven't changed much at all. I've always been interested in anything mechanical. At about 7 I discovered electricity and electronics. At about 15 I found computers. These three have stayed with me for the rest of my life. I now design computer controlled machines and software to control... |

Yes, I like building and using all sorts of machines. In my spare time I build cars and rebuild CNC machines. For my job I write software to control CNCs. I can spend hours just watching them work. I was also one who, as a kid, had to take things apart just to see how they worked. Heh. My mother alw... |

For me there are two reasons. The first is that I doubt very much if I could convince my doctor to refer me. As far as he is concerned if you don't show obvious physical symptoms there is nothing wrong with you. The second reason is that there isn't much point in getting one. I don't need extra supp... |

I once climbed around the cliffs at Land's End at about midnight. Climbing cliffs by moonlight without any safety gear is probably not the most sensible thing I have ever done. The fact that it is also private property with lots of 'stay on the path' signs was just the icing on the cake |
