I've always loved dance and took a couple of classes when I was young but I suck. I mean, I really suck. I lived in Brazil for a year with girls who did nothing but Samba and I never figured it out. Not even close. |

I went completely GF & noticed improvement within a week. I didn't have to go through the whole celiac testing ordeal because I had an allergy test & it revealed a mild wheat allergy. I lurked in a lot of celiac forums as I was getting used to the diet (which is more of a lifestyle change, I... |

I will do that. Thanks again for your useful advice. :D I'm so sorry I didn't reply to your earlier question! I'm new to WP & don't have a system down yet - I totally forgot about this thread. I didn't have much info for you anyway. I can't for the life of me remember where I read that. Very li... |

I have this exact same problem. I never know where the line is between standing up for myself and being oversensitive. This is SO me. I have found that when I've dropped people, I really needed to at that time. In a few cases, I was able to circle back years later. A big problem for me is seeing in... |

The older you get, the more this will happen & it gets REALLY easy. Especially with Facebook in the picture. 5 years isn't long, though, so I totally understand why you're nervous. Like everyone else, I vote for Facebook. If that's not an option, I would recommend just leading with the fact that... |

My natural tendency is to do it inwardly, which I did for decades. This would ultimately culminate in a meltdown (though always in private). Though my initial instinct is still to internalize, I'm much better at managing frustration and externalizing when appropriate now. I'm old though! |

This is fascinating to me that this seems to be an Aspie trait. I walk SO fast. It drives me crazy when people walk slowly. It's because I hate wasting time. I'm the worst at a grocery store. My husband and mother-in-law refuse to go with me because they say I plow through everyone & it embarras... |

Sometimes, there are people of the opposite sex (I'm a male) in my class who approach me and just stand right in front of me, looking in my direction. I usually pretend I didn't see them and look in another direction. Then, after me ignoring them and looking in another direction for long enough, th... |

I have several. I don't know if that qualifies? I find that I constantly need things to soothe myself. Whether it's my iPad or a Starbuck's drink or a book or whatever, I never leave the house empty-handed. It's always with the intention of controlling my little universe & making sure that I hav... |

I have the tendency to talk a person's ear off so I try to be brief and concise. I state exactly what I mean and ask a lot of direct questions. People are constantly reading extra meaning into any little thing I say or any question I ask. Do you have this problem? How do you deal with it? I also tr... |

I like being social with good friends. I call them "family friends." I want to be able to lay on friends' couches & not worry about small talk or any social skill stuff at all. If I move to a new area, I will slog through the time it takes to get there with a handful of people, but I hate the ti... |

Hi all!
I'm newly diagnosed & am still trying to figure out which parts of me can be explained by Asperger's. I get really mad when people tell me what to do, but then I find myself doling out unsolicited advice all the time. Do any of you do that? Do you know if it's an Aspie thing? |
