I am curious about something. Since you didn't say, why are you wearing a watch that doesn't work? To prove the analogy that I mentioned earlier. It's meant to be paradoxical. We assume that 'watch = time' because that it the accepted purpose of a watch that we have been conditioned to understand. ... |

A lack of understanding between people is something I have been thinking about recently. It all started with a discussion in my A level Philosophy class where we were talking about whether homosexuality was acceptable, and I was disgusted at some of the responses. Someone came out with "It's people ... |

Does it have to be a contemporary artist? Frida Kahlo had some disease in her art...although I think her ailments were mostly from an accident she had as a girl. Broken Column and Henry Ford Hospital (about her miscarriage due to her accident). There are more but I don't remember their names. Thank... |

Does anyone know of any artists that depict physical illness/disease? Are there any you recommend? Because I want my A Level project to be about cancer and need to find artists that explore similar themes.
Thank-you in advance |

I'm so glad that you posted a forum on this!...I thought I was the only one to have trouble taking exams; it seems that most people in my year group at school generally find working under exam conditions easy, and are always surprised to hear that I don't finish writing in an exam...it always seems... |

I'm the same. Absolutely hate lateness. I'd rather be 3 hours early than a minute late. I do not follow a strict routine but like a rough plan of what my day consists of. I quite like the way my days are set out at the moment, that schedule of waking up at a certain time and carrying out the same ro... |

I don't have a great deal of a problem completing exams. I have some issues with concentration, but without meaning to sound arrogant, I am excellent at answering the questions so I can afford to spend 10% of the exam daydreaming. It seems you have already checked whether you are eligible for extra... |

I'm currently studying my A Levels at college and the first year consists of timed examinations, which I hate. I have always had trouble with this, I never manage to finish an exam within the time limit given thus resulting in receiving disappointing results. I even went for Exam Concession testing ... |

Yes, I wish I were born into a different generation - seeing as a lot of my interests stem from the 60s into the 80s. I also believe that life would've been much simpler as opposed to how complicated things are today - Plus, the music/art was much better, it had much more meaning and less of a cons... |

The doorbell just rang and I ran upstairs and let my mum answer the door. I've done that a few times, recently someone, unfamiliar to my eyes, knocked on the door. I was so frightened that I even went as far as disturbing my mother from her sleep. She was so angry - "You're 16 years old and can't a... |

What a great thread. My parents often complain that I use sophisticated language in casual conversations. It gets to the point were they are unaware of the words I speak and request the definition of the words. I often get called 'posh' due to the language I use, although I dont see anything so soph... |

Theoretical physics is very reliable. But most people do not consider this branch of science seriously. Most people think that the Moon landing was a hoax. I must take time to learn more about it. I'm very naive about it to be honest, but from the very little I have learned of theoretical physics, ... |

YES! I get this all the time. My voice usually increases volume when I'm conversing about my special interest, I just get really excited and hyperactive. My voice also gets high pitched when I know an answer to a question in class, sometimes I may involuntarily begin to shout. As well as this I get ... |
