Not as many people as I expected, but I wouldn't agree that hypermobility doesn't cause problems. When I dislocated joints as a child I didn't mind at all, minor inconvenience compared to anyone else who dislocated, they were injured by it, I wasn't. Now I have early arthritis in joints that I DIDN...

Depends which way I tilt my fingers, but I have heard this before and found it true for maybe 80% of people.

Its based on male brain type or female brain type rather than actual gender.

I've always been able to do this. Hear a song a couple of times and replay it in full fidelity in my own head. It's like carrying around a big MP3 player everywhere! ^precisely the same^ Never understood why people play music on earphones, then realised they mustn't be able to "replay" from memory.

I'm curious about the possible connection between autism and connective tissue disorders which are known to cause hypermobility, hypersensitivities, social difficulties etc. I am the most hypermobile person I ever met, also have aspergers traits, others in my family also seem to have both or neither...

I'm not sure because while I've been in relationships where I've been hit (twice I was attacked because I was leaving rather than leaving after being hit) I am not aware of ever having been cheated on, so its hard to say. I think the cheating would eat away at me and destroy all trust more efficient...

I have been wondering all day about forgiveness and things which people put up with, so I thought I'd ask somewhere there are intelligent open minded people (not always easy to find!) as its quite a taboo subject. Say a husband/partner was drunk and did a terrible thing, he is responsible for gettin...

But its been such a long time, nearly 2000 years. He died to absolve his followers sins so they would be saved when the world ended. It didn't happen, so people still opt for burial rather than cremation so their bodies can be resurrected. After this length of time they might as well have been crema...

adb, I do know Christians who do lead very thoughtful lives, the real ones. There are plenty of others who are just like you say, feel absolved when they have made no reparation to the injured party and feel superior because they follow the rules and are so much more upstanding than those not in the...

It is scary that one country has more weaponry than the rest of the world put together. Add in the radicalisation of the population by religious fanatics, many of whom are in very powerful positions and it becomes positively terrifying. Government controlled education, teaching politically weighted ...

Had he done so, the obvious conclusion he would come to is that the "sacrifice for our sins" was the the only way his followers could explain his death at the hands of mortals. I often thought this, his companions and followers couldn't believe their saviour (in the mortal sense) was gone, dead, ki...

Having a religious belief doesn't equal following a religion. May I, with respect, edit your statement to read "having a belief in God doesn't equal following a religion" this I can, I thnk, agree with. I believe that the Christian God is a creation of man, not the other way around. That is a belie...

I have had hypermobility since birth, never heard it described as a syndrome before. At three days old I was fitted with my first splints to hold my joints correctly. My joints are still unstable and the physiotherapist advised against yoga because I could overstretch so easily and don't feel pain i...

Do you think it's possible that Atheism could be a religious belief? Atheism is, as the word clearly states - NON-belief. It is void of religion or any other belief. You can't say atheism is a religion. It is a-theism. Theism being religion. A as in NOT. A-Theism = No religion. Having a religious b...

read Matthew 1;25

It says Joseph didn't "know" her until she had had her firstborn child. The catholic version leaves out "firstborn", " 25 but knew her not until she had borne a son;[l" even without the word firstborn, it certainly implies Joseph "knew" her after she had the baby.

I was at a carol service tonight. A reading from genesis described childbirth pain as a punishment for giving Adam the apple (even though it wasn't forbidden to give him an apple, only for him to eat it). So how come that sin wasn't forgiven if Jesus sacrificed himself so we could all be forgiven an...
