Both, to varying degrees. The manic phase is truly lovely, the world is bliss and anything is attainable. The depressed bit is a pain, but I view that as the price paid for the manic bit.

Forum: Politics, Philosophy, and Religion   Topic: Why is it fair to say Conservatives or Christians areBigots?

Most groups tend to dislike those who don't share their views. The reason Christians and Conservatives are labelled as bigots is because the left-wing 'progressives' are very vocal in condemning them at every turn. Labour and the left are the true bigots, but you wouldn't think so from the way thing...

No. AS-ish (read bio) I may be, but that doesn't mean I'm disabled. It means I need to push harder to do certain things, be more methodical in some ways, less impulsive in others. Socialising is still very sucky but, contrary to the opinions of others, I don't see this as a disability; it's just som...

It appears that many in this topic have misread what I wrote. A sweeping generalisation of self-diagnosis? Where? I merely passed on what the clinical psychologist told me regarding abuse and AS and pointed out that those who have self-diagnosed may in fact be suffering the after-effects of abuse. S...

I've seen a fair number of profiles stating that people have self-diagnosed themselves as aspie. It's been a while since the clinical psychologist reported his findings after our session and one thing that stuck in my mind was his statement that the effects of child abuse resemble often autistic tra...

Matt Smith beats Tennant. The Doctor had not long annihilated his own people, why Tennant was always smiling and happy I don't know. Smith is more subdued and resigned.

it does not make much sense too me how having a pathalogical conditon can make you age badly unless these types of people drink and smoke more? I think it refers to their inability to accept ageing as nothing out of the ordinary. Narcissists are infatuated with themselves so seeing the object of th...

I suffered during my teen years from what I called thought storms , where my head was full of ideas, images and anything else that came to mind. I spent many hours lying down on my bed trying desperately to stop the 'noise'. Once I was in my twenties it subsided. I'm not sure if it was because that ...

You sound like your average NT. Get angry and smash something. Though it's usually a release and things look a bit rosier after. You seem to have that bit of it to get right. Still, could be worse. The plate could have dropped you. Nothing worse than a miserable plate.

I think you mean when, not if. The bond market is being propped up by the FED. China has stopped buying and instead is trying to convert their paper to real assets. Rates will have to go up at some point, and when they do the bond market will be exposed for the hollow shell it is. The real problem ...

My personal opinion is that you shouldn't base buying or not buying WoW or any other MMO off of the opinions of others. Opinions are only that...opinions, formed by people who either had a good or bad personal experience with the game. My advice is to download the free trial and see if you enjoy it...

Canada is sitting pretty? Yes--but dive under that statement and look at why we are sitting pretty. Because we have preferential access to the largest consumer market on the planet. Trade represents 30% of our GDP, and the United States represents 70% of our trade. The demise of the United States t...
