I suspect that left brain vs right brain is nothing but ignorance. Where's the scientific evidence that the different halves of the brain specialize in different styles of thinking? That's pretty much the gist of the article about this optical illusion: http://theness.com/neurologicablog/index.php/...

Also look into the UNION statement, which can be extremely helpful in harvesting data through SQL injection. Imagine having a URL like this: http://example.com/pets?id=5 It might use an SQL query like this to retrieve the data about the pet: SELECT name, race FROM pets WHERE id = 5 If the URL parame...

I certainly do this. I regret and feel ashamed of many things I did, even some small ones that don't matter at all, and everyone but me probably already forgot about them.

From last year May until the start of this year, I was very desperate for a boyfriend. I bumped into this aspie guy at the gym who wasn't that attractive for me and he was older, but I was so desperate I was seeing him for months only to find out on December 30 that he already had a boyfriend. I fel...

I usually program with Java, C++, Ruby, Python, C# or PHP. I've also been programming in Haskell and Basic many years ago. I can also work with most modern databases. I focus on web application development, and I know most of the usual stuff there too, even though they're not really programming lang...

I talk a lot whenever I'm around people I know well and feel comfortable with. I apparently also talk really fast according to uh, earwitnesses  But it seems to me as if I speak at a normal speed. I don't talk that much in group conversations, and when I do have something to say, the subject ha...

Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: Food issues... I HATE when people ask me "is it good?&q

I hate it especially when someone asks it just as the spoon or fork containing the first load of food you will taste approaches your mouth. They ask even before you tasted it! I'm mostly comfortable giving my (often too honest) opinion about the food after eating it. Otherwise it only distracts me ...

Oddly, my eye contact is much better after smoking marijuana. When I do that, I just stare at nothing, and make little to no eye contact anymore at all. Whenever I would look someone in the eye when talking it feels like I get sucked in or something, after a while the only thing I can think of is t...

I always let them accumulate for quite a while, I store them in a separate jar whenever I feel my wallet gets too full. I always leave some coins in my wallet just in case they ask if I have a certain coin, which is then easy to find since I only have a few coins. Whenever the jar gets crowded enoug...

I love to sleep in one bed with my partner. This is because I love it when I wake up and he's the first thing I see. I prefer not to hug or spoon while going to sleep though. I can never sleep while feeling constricted like that, I simply need my own half of the bed to sleep comfortably. Apart from ...

He did actually have sort of a break up before, his ex-boyfriend ended the relationship because he gave his ex-boyfriend too much love or something. So he didn't want to show me that much love he said, the started to become a bit more clingy after I broke up with him, but it's not like he constantly...

Lots of text incoming, tl;dr: it's a love soap. I just felt like typing this here, to get it off my chest. About 6 months ago, I met an Iranian guy. The first few weeks everything went great, then as we talked about deeper things, communication became harder. I didn't understand a lot of what he sai...

There's the common idea of attractiveness, and a whole lot of other characteristics that some find attractive and others don't. There are only very few (maybe no) people on the world who no one would consider attractive. If you look at yourself in the mirror, you mostly focus on the characteristics ...

I've always said the Internet makes everyone lazy typists. I guess that's partially true. Some people know how it's done, but just want to get the message across quickly, taking some evil shortcuts that the readers would understand regardless. Other people read so many of the lazy text that they mig...
