I'm well into adulthood and considering eyebrow shaping for the first time. I really don't like change, especially with my body, so when I decide to change something I want to do it slowly and carefully without feeling too much pressure. The thing is, my eyebrows are pretty big and bushy and I'm fin...

Just based on my own experience. If you think you'd like to have an intimate relationship with someone you have to try not to be too intense straight away. Instead, spend time with them and try to get an idea of how much they like you because if they're not interested you don't want to make them unc...

Thanks Hartzofspace - I'll look into Tienchi. I did try melatonin once for a short while but didn't perceive any difference. Not sure if I should have tried a stronger dose? I had someone warn me that if you take melatonin supplements your body produces less so that scared me off. Wolfheart - I know...

As for stress. The worst I felt was in a past job in which one of my work colleagues was enjoying aggravating me. I found myself unable to communicate, because I didn't want to be confrontational. He was directly 'above' me. The stress of this over several weeks was having physiological effects. Sh...

I get stressed really easily and then take a long time to wind down from stress. Lately I've had some factors in my life that would cause anyone a reasonable amount of stress but for me its been extreme. I've had days where I felt sure I would have a heart attack because everything in my body (my bl...

That sure makes it hard. Don't think we have that type of set up at all here. There's always somewhere you can meet people on our campuses - even the small ones. Well, I hope that you'll have some students closer to your age in some of your future classes. I'm currently studying with mainly school-l...

I do go to classes, I get taken two days a week and dropped off at a community college which is a 35 minute drive each way. But the bulk of the people there are fresh out of high school and most of them don't want anything to do with me once they realize how old I am. Surely you're not the only one...

What is that "age"? I would have thought I was well past it - I'm in my 30s now.

Can anyone help me out with this - what is the appropriate way to behave with and what should you expect of people of the opposite gender when you are no longer single? Looking back, I've missed a lot of things going on. Like, I used to have a plenty of guy friends until I started going out with my ...

All my life I've had horrible social skills and trouble with coping and I just cut myself off from so many opportunities. I can't afford to get professional help at this stage but I'm in my mid 30s and back studying and making all the same mistakes again to make teachers exasperated with me. I've be...

When I get into the start of a conversation with someone I always forget to make small talk. When the other person tries to make small talk I don't realise what they're doing and inadvertently shut them down. For example, if someone says "how was your weekend?" I say "okay" and don't realise that's ...

Back when I had friends they were mostly significantly older. I thought at the time it was because older people are more tolerant of difference - or, that they expected difference with an age discrepancy whereas people my age expected me to be the same as them. As I've gotten older and extracted mys...

When I was at a sports event someone I knew but not very well came over to talk to me - just about an administrative matter. They brought their dog with them and he was right up close to me sniffing me, wagging his tail, trying to get my attention. I bent down a little and patted him while we talked...

When it comes to organ donation what scares me is those stories that come up occasionally where someone was considered brain dead but as they were being prepped for organ harvesting they woke up. I've decided to leave it to my partner and family to make that choice for me if it ever comes up. If I s...

How does he go pacing himself? I have no concept of time so in perusal time I work out how many questions I have to answer by half-time and then glance up at the clock a fair bit as I go. I could easily get stuck on one question and spend most of the exam time working on it. It's not natural for me ...

Sometimes I really feel like I want friends but I'm thinking now maybe I just want to know that I can make friends because friendships from the past just show a long history of being used and abused by people. So I've been thinking about my definition of what a friend is. Above and beyond all else I...
