I think they are vegetarians, too. I'm not straight edge, but I remember hearing about the lifestyle. It's an interesting and admirable choice, I think.

Hi- Regardless of anything that happened afterward, I am in awe of you for standing your ground and staying seated during the first part of class. You used assertive, not rude, communication. I have been working on that for 50 years and still find it difficult. Good for you! Keep on doing it and the...

Oops-- I accidentally assumed you were female  That will teach me to look at people's profiles before posting! :?
But you're right about the male menopause; I think my husband is going through it. I hope things do improve for you soon! I know how frustrating those symptoms are.

Great piece! I was thinking about noise pollution today and so your essay is very synchronicitous for me. It does seem that there is a "conspiracy to abolish all natural silence" like you said. I don't know why more inventors haven't gone into creating technology for making very quiet- or even silen...

I found this on Pinterest and I can totally relate to it. If anyone else has an example of Aspergers-relatable art, please feel free to share it in this thread.

I would like it if those loud, bass-thumping stereos were outlawed. The noise in my life would be reduced by at least 80% and my nervous system would have a chance to heal a little.

I applaud your efforts to get out of debt! That's wonderful that you have such motivation. But you don't have to spend all your free time in bed or else you might become very depressed and unable to work. Maybe you could find free things to do-- like go to the library or walk in a nearby park? Littl...

In the short run, money is more important. In the long run, or in the great scheme of things, love is more important-- in fact it may be the only thing that really matters. However, when you don't have money and you're starving and homeless, you can't even really think about love. In those circumsta...

I watched it. It was okay, but I wish it would have delved a little deeper. It was a composite of surface interviews, with the requisite footage of daily life to show "hey, autistic people are real people". Thanks for your response. I always find myself wishing documentarians would delve deeper als...

I forgot to watch POV- "Neurotypical" on PBS last night (even though I had written it down for myself...arrgghh).
If you watched it, how was it? Good?
Thanks,
