I was eating lunch at a Chinese buffet on Satuday and overheard two women talking about the massacre and one of them said that "people with Asperger's don't have feelings".

It's going to be like the Virginia Tech shooter all over again.

This socialist Aspie thinks Libertarians are selfish jerks who haven't emotionally matured past the "I don't want to and you can't make me!! !" stage, which is why they idolize Ayn Rand's crap.

At work on Friday my boss and I were getting the thrift store ready for a pre-Xmas "open house" on Satuday (we are normally closed on Saturday) and she mentioned to a customer that there would be cookies and apple cider. a few seconds later she looked at me and said "I know what you are thinking, it...

Yeah, extrovert Aspies often come off as annoying, but I find myself unable to actually dislike them. They are the epitome of "active but odd"--will talk forever if you get them started about their favorite topics, will greet strangers and start conversations on just about anything with just about ...

I'm an extroverted Aspie, an ENTJ. :) Extroversion does not mean being a sociable party animal, it means you prefer dealing with objective "outer world" facts and things rather than living inside your head. Darwin was not an Aspie, but he is a good example of a quiet, unsociable extrovert, He was an...

I get rather annoyed at the notion that everyone on the spectrum is an introvert, it's based on a misconception that "introvert" = unsociable and "extrovert" = likes to be with people. Jung originally defined extroverts as preferring "objective" facts of the outside world and introverts as preferrin...

My non-verbal expression is pretty much normal, but I am horrible at reading the non-verbal cues of others. I simply cannot see subtle social cues and I often wrongly percieve tone of voice, thinking people are angry when they are not.

In the US anti-intellectualism has it's roots in the 1830s fusion of Jacksonian populism and evangelical religion which later mixed with a hysterical anti-science attitude caused by the publishing of The Origin of Species . Aditionally, there is a mentality common in right-wing teabagger circles tha...

What is really angering me is how so many of my fellow Left-wingers are willing to capitulate to the religious nut-jobs and promote censorship.

Being angry at a bigoted, offensive movie is no excuse for murder.

There are some stories developing that the producer of the "film" was actually a Muslim looking to create an instigation. One of the "actresses" has stated in an interview that the producer told her on set that he was Egyptian, and that he spoke Arabic to other men present. Then the clerics in the ...
