Carlotti was criticized by some "professionals" for promoting only "methods that work" (yes, that's exactly why they criticized her !). The third autism plan is the current effort to help autists in France ; it's still insufficient, but it's a good step in the right direction. Anyway, the situation ...

Sophie Robert's film about autism and psychoanalysis in France, Le Mur (the Wall) is legal again. If you can speak French, you can read it here :

Interesting analysis. While it's true that psychoanalysts keep wreaking havoc and that cognitive/neuroscientific approaches are often misunderstood, shunned or caricatured, (despite some progress), the other side has its issues too - lack of unity, visibility and organisation, pregnance of other pse...

I won't directly post my RDOS Aspie-quiz result because I know it often changes. I average around 120 AS / 80 NT, and my profile always has a distinct "ceratopsian head" shape, with a frill around 6-7 from Aspie talent to Aspie communication, then a nearly straight line to a "muzzle" around 5-6 from...

Thanks for posting this..Do not have much time now, but here is something to perhaps chew on. To you or anyone, including myself-- because there is rather oddly so little on the internet regarding their point of view, at least in the English language,---how important is it to understand the logic b...

Some news from France : in early May (at last), the French minister for the disabled and struggle against exclusion, Marie-Arlette Carlotti, presented a new plan for autism. Not surprisingly when one knows about politics, it's far from perfect and still clearly insufficient (only 205 millions of eur...

Easier said than done. Despite some good intentions displayed by politicians (whatever their party, by the way), doctors already in place staunchly resist any change in their profession. So, wait and see...

Interesting. According to this paper, I lean(ed) more towards the Gifted side when it comes to Memory and Attention, more towards the Aspie side with regards to Motor Skills (and Social/Emotional to a lesser extent) and the rest is mixed.

Every time I am on the Internet or I read a dictionary, I have urges to search for a given word that has to do with what I'm reading/watching, then I forget it the following second if I get distracted. I also have problems with my flow of thought. I think a lot, especially when I'm going to sleep, a...
