I find when working extra hours beyond what I am scheduled for, they tend to push back a little when you say "no", especially after starting a new job. Otherwise, I also find the pressure against saying "no" tends to be higher against the employees who are more productive than mo...

If there is anything I have learned about the grievance process in a union environment with a CBA violation, the company usually pays for the arbitrator to hear your case. Anything related to a right to manage clause in the CBA usually ties to company policy. Because of those two factors, Arbitrator...

Could have been MVP of the 92 World Series based on how he played. Mind you, the pitchers were likely getting the award if the Braves beat the Blue Jays. The Blue Jays had a hard time getting the guy out.

The right thing to do is contact this person and ask them if they can be a positive reference for you. You may have to let them know who is calling to inquire about your work history though.

Sending a screenshot of a text to a friend to a person that just dumped me predicting the breakup would sound pretty off putting to me personally. I wouldn't know what to do with that. However, she falsely accused of something. Is there some background I am missing from another thread?

The article does state something employers look for is positive attitude. I find this will go a long way in working well with others. The types that don't fit well within a company culture are the toxic negative types and generally unpleasant individuals. Good employers cannot afford to ignore what ...

I will keep this short and sweet. Got a 3 year old not happy with the lack of attention he is getting from me on his day home from daycare. He is crying in the next room. I took a few toys away from him today for throwing them and this is likely from lack of attention. The reason this is likely happ...

Try being married with two children. The 11 month old is with mommy. The three year old spends every night trying to not sleep it seems. Nvm I have work at 8 am and he won't doze off most nights until after 10 pm. Not enough alone time in the world for me to feel like I am refreshed and energized. A...

Still fun to play some of these titles (unless it's NES TMNT 1) I like how some titles come with a quality of life option such as invincibility. I can recall beating Turtles in Time when I was a kid. Not any of the others. I also didn't see ...

Been working in one for 12 years. Easy repetitive work. But it is also unionized where I work. Forklifts and receiving and shipping docks also require their own clerks to make sure work gets done on the computer as well (ie. Bills of lading, release of store orders, etc). An inventory clerk is also ...
