Has anyone ever just posted on FB? I know it's a very impersonal way of doing it but I've been thinking what I'd like to do is tell my grandmother separately on the phone, maybe text my parents, and then just post a short bit on FB, take off a few weeks from work just for me, travel and clear my hea...

It's not too late at all. I know people who have come out much later than that, some in their thirties or older. Heck, you're only a year older than when I came out. But ultimately, you don't have to come out until you're ready to come out – if you choose to do so at all. Like, I've pretended to be...

I've been working up the courage to do this for a long time. So far I've told my therapist, my brother, and one friend. But nobody else. And I don't feel like I can. I'm 28, F, and I feel like it's too late to come out. Like, I've pretended to be straight for so long that if I come out now everyone ...

Generally I tell people upfront that I'm not good with texts/calls. But you're right. I just worry b/c I've read horror stories about being pushed out of a job b/c of mental health issues being told to your boss. And my friend with GAD who works with me keeps telling me not to tell unless I'm close ...

Bipolar's a possibility. Also OCD seems highly likely. I have OCD and I can say that my moods shift over time with it, although maybe not quite to the extent yours do. But I do go through periods of intense depression, followed usually by times where I feel much better, am able to exercise, diet wel...

I had a big writeup that got wiped when I clicked "submit" :( So here's the short of it, I have OCD, primarily obsessional. I am debating posting about it on FB so people understand better why I don't answer the phone/text or why I won't do things. Also because I think it needs to be said ...

To be upfront, I don't know if these are sensory issues or just some weird habits I've developed while thinking/working/studying. I've been at my current job for almost 6 years. In that time I have pretty much kept to the same routine and to be completely honest was always surprised nobody around me...

So my therapist told me yesterday that I examine situations (social cues, etc) using deductive reasoning which is "unusual" while most people do it intuitively. He has not told me I have Aspergers/HFA (he prefers no labels so I've been given no diagnosis at all), although I think I do (though someti...

-7 I think. Last night I actually felt pretty good, maybe a 3-4. Best I had felt in a long time. Oh well.

I literally cried all the way home last night (1 hr drive). I went to a concert by myself which was fine b/c I don't know many people who like concerts where I live and nobody who likes this particular style of music. Anyway, not the point. I was feeling good and after called my dad while walking to...

i can relate to a lot of this, however it's not to a fault. If you're like me you're a perfectionist, people-pleaser, who doesn't want to offend anybody ever.

yeah. Usually it's when I do need something so I'll buy one of the first things I see and it is completely inadequate (work shoes from Walmart 1/2 size too big or small come to mind). And on the other side, like on vacation, etc, I get SO pulled in by all the knick-knacks and it's just ridiculous.

i really don't like it. I also don't like petting animals that will leave hair on me. I can stand both for a short period of time (sometimes) but by and large no way no how. Get me a lint roller and let me wash my hands three times. (And I'm not a clean freak I just have issues with touch and my han...

Curious if others' parents were social (had friends, went out, etc). For example, I know my mother had friends in school, but they seemed to drop away after college. She has several coworker-friends (though they don't go out), one set of neighbor friends (rarely go out or talk beyond facebook), and ...
