My partner was listening to his usual dubstep station yesterday and I heard this song come on. I started cracking up because I'm not used to hearing anything about Asperger's outside of the ASD community. It's very amusing! It's called "Burgertime" by Savant. https://soundcloud.com/sectionz-records/...

Paws up :D You know, I've always wondered if Gaga herself has Asperger's...she's really quirky and reminds me of a musical friend I have who also has AS. They both live in their own world and do whatever they want, seeming like there's a barrier between them and the world. Then there's the fact that...

I don't think you should take it too personally. When I was planning my wedding, pretty much every resource I used suggested talking to my fiance about prenups "just in case", even if you can't ever foresee separating. I didn't do it, because I'm not planning on taking off at the first sign of troub...

Yes. Once, I almost got to the point where I felt so misunderstood, I thought I must not be human. Some people go all the way off that edge, but I don't think it's necessarily only an Asperger's thing.

Maybe you had some pent-up anxiety or frustration, and your brain decided to release it all by picking random characters and transforming them into a terrifying creature? :D

Maybe you could start a professional blog about the interests you mentioned? They're all pretty similar, so you could include all of them in your posts. You could post reviews and things like that, maybe some news, although a lot of people seem to do news. No, it won't be easy and you won't make mon...

I didn't get anything like that, but I wonder if it's because I'm female? Instead, probably due to AS traits, my parents seemed to think of me as a helpless child who needed to be protected until I finally moved out of their house. My mom STILL offers me money and food every once in awhile, though. ...

I used to be like that when I was a teenager. My closet was organized by type of garment, then by color, and on top of that, each item needed to be on a hanger that matched in color. I don't know why I stopped. A lot of my traditionally-aspie traits were strongest in my teen years. Maybe due to home...

Do you mean in the context of "Oh, you can't possibly have a disability, because you're doing so well!" Because yes, I would really hate that. But I'm not diagnosed, so everyone just thinks I'm aloof and helpless. Actually, when I tried to talk to a psychologist about possibly having Asperger's, she...

Wow, I didn't know you could be turned down from a job for being OVERqualified. I heard about a lot of people getting jobs they were overqualified for during the recession...maybe DQ is too low? The problem I've noticed is that for a lot of good jobs after college, you really do need to network your...

A lot of them get angry at people who promote tolerance and acceptance of ASD because they have children on the spectrum who make their lives hell, and they want everyone to know what a horrible, terrible thing autism is because of what they've experienced. I don't know how I know that...I guess fro...

My husband has tried those. I think the effects on him were minimal. For him, that doesn't really surprise me.

I don't think I need to use them because I sleep like a log! They might actually be dangerous to me, lol. I might never wake up!

If this song doesn't make you smile, then...um, I don't know. :D

I don't know about these lyrics in the info page...I still think she's telling you not to be a brontosaurus.

I don't think I started out with self-hatred, but everyone else seems to hate me now, so it's started to grow on me. Again, I guess. I have experienced this "fading away as I've grown to accept myself" feeling too, but um...let's just say I haven't had a great past few months. When I was a little ki...
