Thank you for all your experiences. It is most interesting to hear them. :) I feel as though teaching, for some, is seen as an easy option. Resulting in an attraction to the profession by the wrong sort of people. I don't mean any of you but I have noticed the behaviour of teachers who I have worked...

Personally I like to watch movies, play video games and read. Most of the time that's enough but during the evening I often feel very lonely.

I thought precisely the same thing, I'm doing a combined masters/PhD course. Teaching really isn't what I hoped it would be!

*WARNING RANT AHEAD* Hello everyone, I've recently finished university and received a first class honours degree in education. Despite this however I am staying well away from the teaching world! Here's why: For the past three years I was laughed at, considered stupid and looked down on purely becau...

Hi everyone, I'm just about to complete my undergraduate degree at university. In the past couple of days people have begun to talk about the jobs they have been successful in applying for and when I was asked what I was doing after university I informed them that I am undertaking a masters/PhD. Tod...

Thank you for the reply, I like your idea about changing cases to differentiate between important and unimportant things and I'll try that out in my next lecture. As for socialising, I'm finding it very difficult to integrate with my flatmates/people on my course. I want to make friends with them ho...

My Dog has cancer and he's being put down soon as it has spread to his brain and the radiotherapy didn't work. My question isn't about how I can cope but quite the opposite. I was told he was being put down today and despite having him for 14 years I felt normal. My siblings are crying at the moment...

Just say, "Tell me about your nickname. Sounds like a interesting story." :) Thank you. I was looking at one of your posts about your girlfriend with aspergers. As someone who is neurotypical did you know that she liked you or did she tell you that she did. I'm asking because if you didn't know tha...

Then once you've known her a month say, I really like you, but I find it hard to tell if people like me back, do you? The most important thing is though to respect the answer that she gives. If she says no, sorry, but we can still be friends, don't think 'oh she means later', just be her friend. If...

I find it all very confusing also....A sign saying ask me out would be helpful. I also find it hard that conventionally the man is expected to make the first move. I wish I could read body language....It might give me a clue. Have you tried reading books on the subject of body language? Yes, I lear...
