I did the Cambridge Face Memory Test: Thank you for taking part in this experiment. Your accuracy in the experiment was: 90% 8O The average score on this test is around 80% correct responses for adult participants. A score of 60% or below may indicate face blindness. In the last experiments where t...

I amazingly got a 65%, but a lot of that was just hitting random keys. I definitely recognize people by their posture, hair, glasses, and voice much more than their faces. I didn't think it was a good test. The photos in the "remember this" portion were the exact same photos as in the &qu...

Loud sounds Being tickled Any kind of touch that I was not warned of in advance Handling raw meat or anything slimy or sticky Crowded environments (this could be a room full of people, or a busy street if I'm driving). This is more due to the visual overload of so many moving people/objects than any...

Interesting. I was born female, but you wouldn't know it by looking at me. My mom always wanted me to be a 'girly girl', but was never successful. The day I went to college I decided that I was just going to be me and then a couple years ago I decided to transition to male.

I used to hate that THX thing so bad. The Cinedigm one they have now is still unbearably loud, but at least the sound isn't as grating.

Well, you know, math and education are dangerous things... They allow people to think for themselves

Not exactly, but I do get a lot of Rain Man comments from co-workers.

The sound of the toilet flushing, fireworks (thunder, loud noises, etc.)... And on a stranger note, my great aunt. To this day I have no idea why.

I notice that I will mimic the accents of people around me (without meaning to). It can be a little embarrassing sometimes, especially when the person whose accent I'm copying picks up on it and starts asking about where I'm from. I have to consciously try to talk "normally".

My hair is incredibly thick and very difficult to care for, so I keep it short.

Dark colors. Bright ones hurt my eyes to the point where I have to change the color scheme on my computer to be black text on grey instead of white.

I only have a few specific bullying incidents that come to mind... Most people just decided it was better to leave the quiet kid alone (especially because that quiet kid had a black belt). The two that come to mind are being on a class trip to a swimming pool in elementary school and a kid holding m...

I don't really flap in the stereotypical manner, but I do have kind of a weird motion like I'm flapping with my entire arm if I get startled or am excited about something.

There are a number of them. The worst of which is probably a mock job interview that I had to do for a high school class. I'm still traumatized by it.

Absolutely. My boss recently went on a crusade about everyone setting a custom message for their voice mail for their office phone because he doesn't like the default one. Listening to mine played back made me cringe because I thought that I sounded pretty natural with a passable voice when I was ta...
