I love dystopian fiction too - probably because of my dystopia obsession :) I love fiction in general; I must have about a thousand books in my house, and most of them are fiction. I've never liked nonfiction as well.

It depends on the obsession. Sometimes I'll be obsessed with something - usually a particular website - for only a few days. Sometimes an obsession will last a few months, like my obsession with dogs earlier this year. I have some obsessions that go in cycles - I'll be obsessed with Sims 3 for a cou...

Your Personality is the Rarest (INFJ) http://www.blogthingsimages.com/howrareisyourpersonalityquiz/personality.jpg Your personality type is introspective, principled, self critical, and sensitive. You Are 30% Normal

You sure do march to your own beat...
But you're so weird, people wonder if it's a beat at all
You think on a totally different wavelength
And it's often a chore to get people to understand you

I know some Aspies don't like having obsessions, and wish they could get rid of them. I don't understand this. For me, obsessions are the best part of having AS. I actually didn't realize until a few years ago that most (neurotypical) people don't have anything equivalent to Aspie obsessions, and it...

I don't think I understand the question. For me, accepting my AS doesn't equal giving up. It makes me do less criticizing of myself for not being able to live like an NT, but I don't consider that giving up; I'm happier not living like an NT. So if that's what you mean by giving in to AS, then yes, ...

I noticed recently there were a few threads about people who are lonely, but don´t want to socialize. In my case, it´s slightly different: The problem is, I don´t feel particularly lonely. After working during the day, I really enjoy my free time with myself. I come home and insulate myself in my a...

I can deal with people wearing perfume, or with the perfume department, but I certainly don't find it pleasant. (And the floor being covered in a layer of perfume? That's just gross. Not to mention unsafe.) What I find worse than the perfume department in the mall is the hair-styling places. They al...

I couldn't care less about fashion. I wear jeans and a t-shirt every day. When I was a kid, I was bewildered by my friends' love for fashion, and my parents used to tell me that when I became a teenager I would start caring about clothes and asking for clothes as gifts. Never happened :D I do unders...

I'll take risks and push into uncertain territory if it's to get something I really care about. Only if it's worth it. I won't do it just for the sake of doing it.

I'm not sure which poll answer that counts as.
