So, maybe a bit late on this one (damn you spam box!! !) but, uh... @Alex, is there a particular format you had in mind to share stories? Video/text/pictures/Imgur post/etc.? I'm game. Didn't see anything listed in the article though, only reasoning why it's important (don't need to convince ME thou...

Coming back with a quick update, shorter than last time. Disability approved! And literally just for bipolar, not for scoliosis. They plopped down a megaton of money right before Christmas, and right as my credit score started tanking and my credit cards were about to be maxed out. Talk about the be...

Way ahead of you on that one! I've already applied and almost got it approved, it's looking good. Asperger's, Bipolar, PTSD, Scoliosis, my physical limitations alone would almost qualify me.

Yep....so much has happened. I'm sorry you're going through this. At least you're still married to your lady. She's a nice lady. I wish she'd come back. Not everybody will be mean to her here. Have your injuries prevented you from trying to get a job? Thanks for the kind words! I've talked to her a...

It's been over a year since I last posted? Huh, March of 2016. Alrighty then. Let me recap what's happened briefly. Seems like I was just on here yesterday, didn't realize it was so long... Still married to WitchsCat. She turns 30 in just over a week, if I wasn't so jacked up I'd have made this one ...

I hate insurance companies. Careful there, I've been in the insurance industry for almost five years. Honestly though, some of them do suck. I work in IT, and we see both good and bad. It's interesting working for a company that supports a variety of different insurance carriers. I see both ...

User 1: You're always mature in your discussions, and I have found you to very often be the voice of reason. You are very calm, and I really appreciate that. To the extent that an anonymous forum allows for, I consider you a friend. Please don't change, I like you just the way you are! User 2: I hav...

If you're found not at fault at all, wouldn't Nationwide return the deductible? Anybody who has not been insured since 2012 probably will not pay what they owe. That's the key: Nationwide will return the deductible, but only once they collect it from the uninsured driver, which could take years. In...

Came here to post an update, but apparently I missed all of Page 2! 8O My bad... Were you in the military? If the dash cam shows the accident, there's no doubt that you won't be found at fault. USAA was the insurance company of the other driver, if that's what you mean. I'm with Nationwide. Never ha...

This may come across as bitter, if it does, my apologies. The intent is friendly conversation, albiet long for the question asked. The first accident I had, USAA tried to get me to admit blame for both hitting the car in front of me, and in an even more douchey move, for being hit at all. I didn't h...

Yup. Everything right there, just... yup. :) As I told my wife (OP's husband here btw), this isn't my first rodeo with this kind of thing, but it is the first one I drove away from. The gist of it is that it was stop and go traffic, and the driver behind stopped, went, and didn't stop again. Seemed ...

Thanks guys, I needed this. One thing the last two posts touched on that I would like to comment on: her independence. Before I entered the picture, she was wholly dependent on her mom for support (both emotional and otherwise). That dependence on her mom has seriously lessened over time, so it seem...

After my wife (a regular here) posted a thread about her taking an indefinite break, it seemed to me that people misunderstood what she wrote. I gave a bit of background as to why that thread was made and what led up to it (something I have done in the past -- search through my recent posts and you'...

WitchsCat's husband here. I had a very long conversation with my wife about this thread last night, and decided to mediate before things esclated even further. Reading the posts now, I may have misjudged things (sorry sweetie), but do want to make a few points: 1) ISIS is a bad thing, we can all agr...

Shep, I'd be interested in seeing screenshots, and I'm concerned about that Start menu and the folders. Sure thing! Any particular areas of interest regarding the screenshots? Or just in general? Does it do away with some of this slidey, mouse to the side menus and such? I miss the simplicity of XP...
