Edit: never mind. I suppose I took that remark too literally and risk getting into an argument on my own thread. |

Oh thank you Wozeree. I am sorry. I have said the wrong thing AGAIN.
I'm not picking on myself; just having a meltdown and lamenting my inability to communicate my intended meaning.
Thank you for saying you like to be around me. That's nice of you. I didn't know. |

I am such a disaster. I am all right being all alone and talking to myself, because I understand myself. But when it comes to talking to other people, I always say the wrong things, and mess everything up. It's so awful. Why can't there be just one person who understands me? :( I will just have to g... |

Oh thank you. I feel awkward and horrified. I wasn't asking for compliments. It's not an ego thread. That's not what I meant by asking people to say "something nice." I should have been more specific. I guess I just wanted some kind words from fellow humans, along the lines of RedRobin's "there ther... |

Oh thank you, Redrobin. That cheered me up a tiny bit because it made me laugh when you said "there there."

I'm sad. Please say something nice to me.
I've never made a thread like this before. I suppose it's pathetic. But I just feel lonely and very, very sad and I'm crying.

I think I am having a meltdown again. *cry* :( Why are people so... I don't know what the right word is to describe them. Everything goes wrong when I try to make contact with a human being. I always end up saying something I shouldn't have. No wonder it's better to live as a hermit and not see anyo... |

The first one looks more professional, in my opinion. The other two look as though they've been sketched by hand. Of course, I appreciate they probably haven't been done by hand at all, and you probably used graphics to deliberately make them look like that, but it sort of makes them look a bit amat... |

you cite examples of when you have engaged in the eye contact with people you did not wish to be intimate with - i.e. to determine whether someone is lying. I just noticed this other misunderstanding. Oh dear! No, I didn't mean that I would look into somebody's eyes to "find out" if they were lying... |

It's OK, thank you for apologising. :) I am having a meltdown today so I'm feeling very woeful and touchy and we are both tired now, too! Let me put it like this: It is perfectly possible to shake hands with somebody, or stroke their shoulder soothingly to show sympathy if they're feeling upset, or ... |

so why the big issue with gazing into one another's eyes? The reason I equate looking into the eyes of all and sundry with promiscuity is because, for me, sustained eye contact is a very intimate experience, on the same level as kissing. As such, it is only something I would wish to practice with m... |
