Yeah, nervous here too. It was a rough year last year, and I requested a teacher for my son. Don't know if he'll get her, but hey, I asked anyway.  |

| My son has some features of AS but also a lot of focus/hyperactivity issues. We are getting a second opinion to narrow his diagnosis down. | I think part of the problem with the patterns is he's being asked to recreate them (moderately complex) on his paper, by coloring in the shapes. | Can someone tell me what it's like to have visual-spatial issues? My son was really good at puzzles, building train sets, etc. but had trouble with patterns at school? Is it a different concept? | Is this a common ASD problem? We are working on a diagnosis for my 7 yo son, the school mentioned ADHD and AS/PDD-NOS. I'm leaning towards the AS myself...
