I'm not naturally athletic, but I really enjoy physical activity--running, hiking, rock climbing, other gym activities. It's helped me improve my hand-eye coordination.

I'm a non-visual thinker 3. Actually, I'm more of a writer-in-general, but it counts the same as being interested in how the pieces of language all fit together to create meaning.

Meltdowns are a lifelong threat yes, but once you have identified what they are, you can start to identify warning signs, triggers and countermeasures, to reduce the risk of having one. my last true meltdown was 4 years ago, but i came dangerously close to a new one monday, when the company decided...

That's an interesting study. What I've found from my experience is that I don't feel empathy for people a lot, but I do feel sympathy for other people a whole lot more. Fr example, someone was telling me a story about a girlfriend he had who cheated on him, and I felt incredibly sad for him, even th...

I'm terrible when it comes to knowing what to say and in the right situations. I don't for the life of me know how to console someone who's going through a tough time. I just don't know what to say. What do they want to hear in those situations? Another uncomfortable issue is small talk. What do pe...

I definitely feel that way. I love absurd comedy and off the wall stuff, but NTs around me just don't get it. That extends to strange or odd people, too. After diagnosis, I've become less tolerant of NTs who don't like strangeness, too.

I'm 31, and I'm still figuring stuff out! But that's the beauty of life, I think; we don't stop learning and growing until we're dead.

Congratulations on your anniversary, and for using it as an impetus for change. I've been diagnosed for seven years and it took me some time to get used to, but I am now, and it's been overwhelmingly positive. I'm still going to run into people who don't understand me, but I understand myself, and t...

The easiest way I keep in touch with friends is sending them something cute and funny I found on the internet. People don't really care what you talk about but they will feel neglected if you don't talk to them at all every few days at least. That's a good idea. I sometimes forget about other peopl...

I feel a bit similar; in real life no one notices me, but when I'm online in some forums, I'm Queen and, dare I say it, popular! One of my special interests is the MBTI, and I've logged hundreds of hour on a site called Personality Cafe talking about it. I'm in my zone, in other words, and I'm respe...

I generally don't attend many social events, much less events where I don't know anyone; but, for example at a work event, I'll hang out in a group of coworkers. I don't talk much, but I like listening to them for a while. The good thing about many social events is that there's food, so if conversat...

I can definitely relate to this. For me, I want to be around other people and do need their society every now and then, but I get exhausted by other people quickly. So I want to have the kinds of friends where I can reach out to them whenever I need them, but I must also have space from them as well...

First of all, congratulations on taking this next step together! Second, regarding your fears, keep in mind that nothing is ever as bad as you think it is. I was diagnosed when I was 25, after a few years of depression and unemployment. I found it helpful in my current work situation in order to get accommodation, but even more importantly, for me personally, was helping me gain self awareness: knowing what my strengths were and weaknesses, and learnin...

This is probably going to turn out to be a rant, so thanks for your patience if you read all of it. :) I was recently promoted at work, and there is A LOT to keep track of, and it's exhausting because of executive dysfunction. Still, I'm trying to keep lists in order to get things done efficiently. ...

I'm glad to hear it went well! Even though I'm a bit late to join the discussion, I'd like to add my two cents; someone once said that nothing is ever as bad as we think it's going to be. So when I feel anxiety about a situation, I try not to think about it at all beforehand.
