I'm thinking of taking a bunch of sh***y online classes just so I can get some credits fast enough not to get any hangups and to come in handy to help me transfer... but it might turn out to be a bad idea since I really want to just study my own stuff even though the online classes here are a joke, ...

I wish my teacher knew how painful it is for me to sit in a classroom; that having to sit and listen to a lecture gives me anxiety and depression and even a feeling kind of like claustrophobia, which makes it impossible for me to learn from a lecture so I have to learn everything from book; how much...

I want to work hard. I have a full desire to, but physically I am not wired to work as hard as I desperately want to. Things such as anxiety and need for sleep and ADHD get in the way. I tried to get one of my school assignments done today, but thinking about it made me cry so I guess I'm going to h...

Maybe you should try asking the teacher if you can stay home and only attend class on test days? I find that attending lectures is counterproductive, since I can't understand certain subjects through spoken word anyway. If that's a problem for you, you should ask your teacher to make the accommodati...

I wasn't even allowed to go to college until I was almost 21. Then halfway into my third semester, when I had just turned 22 I quit because the experience was depressing me and had driven me to do something drastic enough to be put in the nuthouse for 3 days, and I didn't go back until last year. Th...

CLEP tests only offer credit for remedial subjects and are not good for credit at UC. What you're thinking about is AP tests, and from what I've heard you can take them even after high school but at this point there wouldn't be much point in me taking them since I've gotten enough easy subjects out ...

I don't think it gets much more subversive than refusing to take classes in the subjects I actually want to major in because they're too easy, and instead studying them at home while taking classes in unrelated subjects just to meet the credit quota. I thought this would be fun, but it's backfiring ...

Not in all cases - just if you earned a certain amount of college credits before applying. It was the same in Pennsylvania; I could transfer into the branch campus that had only lower division physics classes anyway after only one semester at the community college, but I'd have to have 60 in order t...

I haven't had tea in a while, I'm thinking of getting myself a free ounce at Teavana (you can get free ounces of fancy expensive teas there when you get rewards on a Starbucks card) and cutting down on the blueberry Red Bulls that I've become addicted to. It's not the educational quality that I'm ev...

I'm going to see them on Friday. Well, that's another reason not to go to CSU. I always got the impression that they were basically a four-year community college as far as standards, student quality, and the way classes are run are concerned. If it's an upper division or graduate level class in subj...

My estranged twin sister came up with an idea for a video game about kings that fight each other a long time ago. The funny thing was that a vaguely similar idea had been floating around half-formed in my head around the same time or maybe for some time before. It's a funny idea because it's like a ...

All I want to do is go to a halfway decent four year school where I can take their most advanced classes in math and physics and become a theoretical physicist or mathematician and solve math problems all day. I did great in high school - well not REALLY great but I got mostly A's, and I scored 34 o...

But gender is not just male and female relative to each other... there is a gender known as "neutrois", or agender, which is 0% male and 0% female. I myself think I'm some combination of male and female that adds up to less than 100%.

Before somebody steps in and lectures me by saying "Autism is a neurological condition, NOT a GENDER IDENTITY!" remember that male and female, as originally defined, were just biological sexes and not gender identities. Autistic people in general don't occupy the same gender roles as their...

Oh, you should consider yourself very fortunate indeed, he would CONSTANTLY get on you for not being "fancy" enough for his tastes. If you have a Facebook he would embarrass you by adding your friends and telling them how unfancy you are and then you would get into stupid arguments over stuff so stu...

You also mentioned daily quizzes... that's a problem. I'm going to use a calculus analogy here, hopefully it isn't too hard to follow: see, neurotypicals tend to have a steady, perhaps approximately linear learning curve (depending on how you quantify knowledge/learning...) and daily assignments are...
