I know it's about the results but I'm just so fed up with being unreliable with deadlines. I've tried all sorts of methods and systems. I even have a special tutor to help me organize my studies. The problem is that I get stuck and when that happens I just lose track of everything. And by stuck I me...

I am working toward a postgraduate degree and I had my major deadline this week. I worked so hard for so long on this but the day before the deadline I realized I can't finish. I figured I have to try and I pushed myself to the max... But the morning of the deadline I had to admit defeat and make th...

Three thoughts: 1. Have you asked why he doesn't wash, etc,? I'm thinking it might relate to sensory issues. You cant solve a problem you don't understand! 2. Is there a brother, male cousin, 'cool uncle' (apologies for that lame term, but I hope you get my point) or other peer who could bring it up...

The question is impossible to answer without knowing where you are from. Some countries do have special programmes and welfare services for people on the spectrum. In my country, the state can help subsidies the cost for employers hiring persons with AS. That said, most employers still do not want t...

When I remember to plan my meals I enjoy sushi, various Asian cuisine, and salads. When I forget to eat and almost faint, I eat whatever is easy. Oh, and I drink a lot of green tea and water, with an occasional coke. :-/

I don't mind making calls, but I absolutely HATE getting unexpected calls. I never answer unknown numbers and often neglect to answer at all hoping that the person will send a text instead.

I recognize everything you mention here lol. These days if anyone is actually trying to pull something together and include me, I just tell them to let me know when they have decided because, apparently unlike them, I generally do not care if it is at 7 or 9, Friday or Saturday, going by bus, cab, o...

I don't know actually, but I am not suicidal. I used to suffer from delusions of grandeur. Now I am just trying to understand how I can be useful. I would hate spending my life feeling both misunderstood and useless; misunderstood and useful would be fine.

However, if I take the medication and begin browsing for whatever my new interest is, it does not help at all, if anything it makes things worse. Ha ha, THIS! I am already on a mild stimulant (Wellbutrin) for depression and ADD. One thing that has helped me to not-hyper-obsess is to track how I use...

I did not; graduated at 19 which is the normal age where I am from. That said, there are those who graduate later, for example people who started school later due to being immigrants without language skills. In general, I see no problem graduating high school at 21 or entering college in your late 2...

I can totally relate to what you said about these useless temporary obsessions interfering with personal project and things I actually enjoy, such as writing. In my case, these pointless obsessions have ranged from buying a particular piece of hardware (and ending up researching it to the point that...

Gosh this will sound so bourgeois, but the only thing that has helped me (besides Roaccutan/Accutane) is a line from a French dermatology company called La Roche-Posay, which was recommended to me by a dermatologist. Their product line called 'Effaclar' works well, and is not harsh on the skin. It i...
