My brother (who is unaware of my diagnosis) has sometimes 'jokingly' called me autistic for getting pissed off at him making certain sounds I found grating, or for demanding him to close the door when he enters the room. He told me I should stop "being so autistic about it".

The USA is a racist s**t hole but as much as it sucks to be a Black or Latino man in America, try being an Uyghur in China... or a political dissident... or a woman pregnant with her second or third child, and forced into an abortion. China, less oppressive then the USA? Don't make me laugh. An abso...

seeking simple answers to complicated questions is a universal human condition Aspies do it too True. Sometimes, people are in the mood for simplicity. They do not want to think long and hard on something... they just want answers. On other days, they care more about the thought process itself then...

I have many acquaintances and few friends. I think I only have one or two true friends remaining who aren't relatives or in a romantic relationship with me. Part of this is because I am very, very picky about who I wish to associate with. I also suck at taking the initiative to do things, and often ...

My own personal opinion is this: I dislike pretty much all Autism Rights organizations I ever heard of because they are not confrontational enough, weak-willed, unorganized or run by NT people seeking a 'cure'. They make autistic people out to be victims rather then survivors, and they lack creativi...

In real life I am a joker, ..., I have a loud voice and an even louder laugh and I can put people at ease and break the ice in first conversations with my sense of humor. . Don't take this the wrong way. I have no intentions of being mean here. I am just stating a fact to prove a difference in intr...

First of all, I wish to thank Protogenoi and o0iella for stating my case better then I myself could have stated it. I am glad to be understood by them, after being misunderstood by so many others. It?s never a good feeling to have people take what you say, and what you mean, out of context and act m...

Could someone tell me what an extroverted Autistic behaves/is like? I always thought they are more or less mutually exclusive. I am an extroverted aspie, feel free to ask me anything you like. In real life I am a joker, typically all smiles and the center point of attention at certain gatherings. I...

Jews, Muslims and Hindus are more interesting because they have more as*hole members. They blow things up, have arranged marriages, weird sects, genital mutilation, caste systems, holy wars and female oppression. I know I am generalizing like crazy here, but all these religions have one thing in com...

Living alone is a disaster if living alone makes you miserable. It makes me miserable... but what works for me may work differently for many others here. In my own experience, me living all alone would mean I get lazy and can't be arsed to do things any more. I need someone to kick my butt every now...

I don't particularly like cats, am more of a dog person. Dogs to me are warmer, more open creatures whereas cats are more distant and aloof. If I am ever old I'll probably buy a cat to keep me company, especially if I ever divorce or become a widower. They seem like a consistent companion and requir...
