Well I think every area is different. Our local city compared to here? The villagers are not as open, they are very critical of same sex couples, ethnic groups, anyone who is even slightly different. But there is less crime here than the city. When I use to stand at the bus stop in the city random p...

When I was a teenager music was my life. I use to play the electric guitar and bass (but not that well) and listen to music almost all hours of the day. Now I rarely put on music. If I have spare time I go running or meditate but I sort of miss the music days. So my question is going out there to al...

I don't know what your talking about and think this may be something you have just honed in on. Where I voulenteer there are lots of unemployed women who struggle to get a job just as much as the men. If anything women suffer from alot of underemployment, only being able to get part-time or below mi...

I take Passionflower in liquid form 2000mg 6 drops a day. This is for anxiety and it works very well. I take Night time Kalms to get to sleep or I get nightmares or can't sleep at all. It is acutally valerian, people say valerian helps with anxiety but it has no effect on me at all, but it does help...

I don't have children but I was a child. My sister was much worse than me as a child. I was going to say the same thing about motivation having to come from within. Though my parents were quite switched on they would find something that did motive us, for example power rangers. And then they would m...

I was working but my line manager was a bully. She bullied everyone not just me, half the time I stood up to her but the affect on my mental health was more than I realised at the time. I did bring this up with the manager and we even had a meeting about it but they refused to belive she was a probl...

I did not really accept myself. I still always try to improve myself. But now I am working on accepting myself. I was even going to engrave this on a candle and meditate on it for a whole moon cycle. My spirituality and path have been what pushed me towards accepting myself. Common affirmations I ha...

I'm sorry to hear your situation. If your meltdowns are that bad are you getting any help from professionals? If you feel you can not talk to professionals a good place to start may be by calling The National Autistic Society: Telephone number: 080 800 4104. I myself found that meditating daily real...

I'm quiet upset because I really thought this place had a position for me but I didn't do so well at interview. Usually I interview well and give them all the great phony answers that they want, but for no reason at all I gave different answers this time. I'm so disappointed in myself and I do not w...

My special interests seem to change roughly every 5 years but they may last a bit shorter or longer than that. Some though, manage to become a part of everyday life. And sometimes I go back to old ones as well.

We have lots of similar interests that is pretty cool! Ok so clubs and societies are the best way to go. All my 'friends' come from a spiritual circle that I am a part of and it took about 2 years to find out about them. At one point in the past I was a member of this Anime appreciation society wher...

I don't see it as problem or disability. Just a difference.
Other people might see it as a 'problem' because society likes us to all conform and all learn the same way.

I don't have these issues about change, though I was dragged into and out of about 7 or 8 schools as a child which may have contributed to this. My partner does not have AS though and if you move a thing he instantly freaks out.
