I think I understand; I get random obsessions where I feel I must take things apart, to fix them, clean them or just to see how they work, only to leave them incomplete; my latest projects have been a pair of binoculars and a Blackerry cell phone. I have re-assembled them since only because I wanted... |

I worked in the UK as a civil servant (government) until last year; I have since moved to Canada to be with my partner who moved here last year. I am now working in a construction related trade which I learned before my governmant job, and am really happy. There are obviously subtle differnces in th... |

It drives me crazy, the thought of being late (for work mainly). I plan my schedule and any route changes in advance with time built in in case of un-forseen delays. Being late tends to ruin my day. |

Deep down, you prefer spending time alone to spending time with others. You enjoy thinking more than talking. You are good with your place in the world. You are confident and comfortable with who you are. Your gift is having a good eye. You take amazing picture and have the natural talent for most v... |

44 I found it a little odd, in that even though I know my preferences, and deficits in some of the areas indicated, I can adapt; therefore as I get older, doing things the NT way just becomes like putting on a disguise, so unless you delve a bit deeper, you'd never guess. |

Thinking more and more that I am my own species. Humans too much work to bother with. Why do I keep trying? As much a I try and connect with others, I just dont 'get' them; illogical, un-predictable with a 'herd mentality' I find them generally confusing and fustrating. Biologically I'm human, my m... |

(which it can be in extreme cases) Correction, the majority of cases. Thanks for the correction. I was writing from my own perspective. I will clarify what I meant. The reason I said in 'extreme cases' is that from my experience, people generaly expect AS to mean that you are akin to 'rainman' in s... |

I just get frustrated... so I chose the angry category. Many NTs who don't know much about Autism or AS can't seem to grasp that it's a spectrum. They seem to think if you aren't completely low functioning, you don't have any form of Autism. Not all NTs are like this of course, but many I've met ar... |

It does appear that you do have a point. Based on my own experience of getting a DX, many profesionals are still quite un-informed about the whole autistic spectrum, as if they expect an austistic person to be a non-verbal savant or raving eccentric. Its my opinion that, in my case, (and possibly yo... |

Everyone entitled to an opinion; but thats just it, an opinion that most peole on here dont have AS. Like you would know us all personnaly and are qualified to then make a DX based on what is written by them. Its a spectrum disorder, some have it 'worse' than others, some appear as social cripples, ... |

Well intentioned, but not good for freedom. Limited-period leg tagging of criminals is all that is needed. If a criminal is going to commit a crime, first thing they will do is remove their leg tag. That should be sufficient warning that they are going to do something else that is illegal after tha... |
